Darthyn spread his large body out over the expanse of a large green couch, which had faded floral designs on it. There were a few loose springs, but to a stray, this was the lap of luxury. Near the large wolf-like creature lay a small flaxen-hued chiahuahua. His long fur was slightly matted and his large chocolate brown eyes were closed in bliss. He sat on a large armchair, with a regal look upon his rather handsome face. He sighed deeply, his furry chest swelling up, and then down, with the intake of air.
His larger companion snorted, opening one of his amber eyes. "Rico, do you suppose there will be more potential pack members coming soon?" The bug-eyed chihuahua opened his eyes too, and thought for a moment, before replying in a Spanish-accented voice, "Ehm, I suppose so, Darth." He shrugged. He had known Darthyn since he was a puppy, and he was one of the only dogs in the pack thus far.

Sure, things may have been quiet and peaceful for the two adult dogs, but it just wasn't meant to be. Eli came tearing into the room in a flurry of excited yips and growls. He was flaunting his 'ferocity' that'd he discovered after Darth had found him in the alley behind the butcher's. He spotted Darthyn and Rico on the couch and bounced over, his tongue lolling out of his mouth slightly as he reared up to rest is mismatched front paws on the couch. He looked at Rico curiously, he'd never seen another dog as small or smaller than himself.
"Are you another puppy like me?" he asked the chihuahua, excited at the aspect of having another friend. He gave a rattly growl like pups do to emphasize that he was supposed to be a ferocious fighter. However, the effect was short lived as he lost his balance and fell down to his side. Shocked, he sat up again as if he didn't know what had just happened. He glanced up at his new big brother/father figure, Darthyn and smiled again, his tail thumping against the ground.

Darthyn smiled amusedly at the pup's antics and looked over to his friend. He smirked, trying to conceal his delight. Rico scowled and jumped up, standing on top of the armchair like he owned the place.
"Ey, meng. I'm no pup." He growled as deeply as he could, which was surprisingly deep, given his small 7-pound stature. His long, fluffy tail shot up, higher than the pup's, and his small, round head was held aloft to establish dominance. "I'm a pure bred Chihuahua, homes. Better recognize." At this, he sat down, a huff sound emenating from his tiny nostrils. Darthyn had a hard time trying not to burst into a rage of maniacal laughter.

"So you're not a puppy?" Eli seemed confused. How could something so small while full grown be called a dog? Either way, he held himself with a slight dominance still as he looked up at the older dogs.
Then his short attention span acted up. "So when do I get to start training to be a vicious street dog?" he asked Darthyn, standing up and bowing to the floor. He hopped back and forth and growled as he battled his invisible enemy and wound up falling to his side again. This time he just lay there, smiling and panting happily as he waited for Darthyn to speak.

The small dog rolled his eyes. Oh boy... He snorted roughly and began to lick his front paws nonchalantly, all the while keeping one of his bulgy brown eyes fixed on the rambunctious youngster.
Darthyn yawned slightly. It had been an eventful morning. Now it was time for a nap. Street dogs need all the rest they can get, he thought. Never know when you're going to be chased by humans. The alpha smirked to himself, but focused his attention on his apprentice. "After my nap." He grinned, amused. Rico looked up and snickered slightly.
Darthyn nodded his head to the puppy and motioned over to a small loveseat to his left. "You should rest. Even vicious strays must conserve our energy." Rico widened his eyes at his friend's comment and snorted with laughter.
"Any more energy in this one and he'll explode!" He cackled.

Then, as if on cue, Eli's jaw split in a yawn. He managed to scramble up onto the love seat that Darthyn had indicated. He yawned again and curled up as tight as he could in the corner where the arm of the love seat met the back. Though laying down, he kept his head up, looking around the place through suddenly sleepy eyes. He looked over at Rico and tilted his head curiously, giving a playful growl as he did so.
Right now, he was tired, but he wasn't ready for sleep just yet.

Shyamide peered into the lobby of the Tarnished Lodge, ears flickering at the sounds of various dogs barking and conversing with each other. Having only just joined the pack, she'd only met Darthyn, but she was keen to meet others too. She took in the sight of little Eli scrambling up onto a seat, and couldn't help but smile.
"Hello, boys," she said confidently as she walked into the room, with a respectful nod to Darthyn. She knew she had to be confident because otherwise they'd take one look at her and think she was some sort of feeble house-dog. Although she might look like a thoroughbred, it didn't mean she was anyone's pet. Nor did she plan on ever being so, after being left to die as a tiny pup.
"I'm Shyamide, i'm the new kid on the block," she said, grinning cheekily to show that she was joking. The only thing she was new to was being part of a pack.

NEW DOG!!! Eli thought excitedly as he scrambled to his paws and jumped off the little couch. He scrambled across the floor towards her, all feelings of sleepiness gone as he eagerly rushed to meet the new dog.
Perhaps a little bit to eagerly. He'd built up to much momentum and didn't stop soon enough and wound up skidding on his side a fair distance passed the while female. He said up looking dazed, but amused. "That was fun!" he yipped, looking to Darthyn and Rico.

Zodiac walked soon in after Shyamide. She didn't like her. At all. Soon, she spotted Darthyn. Hey, Darthyn! Hey, pups! I am Zodiac Zero. She barked to them, in a friendly voice. She looked at the other female. Zodiac didn't like her and wandered about her. Hello, Shyamide. She gave a small smile. The black German Shepherd looked around and spotted a chair. The chair was a dark blue. Zodiac jumped up onto the chair, and sat down. It was fairly big. The female moved around to where she can lay down. "Hey, Cowboy, maybe after our private swim, wanna go out and look for something to eat?" she asked Darthyn and gave Shyamide a small glare, before turning back to Darthyn.

Shyamide's smirk spread into a grin as Eli skidded enthusuastically past her. What a sweetie! She barked a greeting to him, her eyes sparkling. Upon glancing up, she noticed another German Shepherd femme enter the room. Shyamide looked her up and down, assessing her, and from the way Zodiac greeted Shyamide she could tell this female had judged her already. She disliked canines who did that without even taking the small time to get to know her, it was shallow-minded.
Shyamide didn't bother returning the black femme's smile, instead choosing to smirk deviously. Here was afemme who thought she owned the place, not to mention the leader, but whether Darthyn agreed she'd find out.
"Oooh, possesive," she commented, raising her brow with a mischevious glance. "Don't worry darling, I won't steal your 'cowboy'." Then, she gave the femme an honest-to-god-angelic smile, before sitting down, wrapping her tail neatly around her paws. If this dog thought she could act bitchily towards Shyamide and get away with it, she would get mroe than she bargained for.

I tired to be nice, and look what i get! Zodiac thought as she jumped off her chair.
Zodiac decided to ignore that comment. She walked toward the female, her tail fairly high, showing domince toward Shyamide. Zodiac's eyes stared challengingly toward Shyamide. A low growl came from her jaws, "Tell me, why is a pampered house rat here? Lose your poor ol' humans?" She walked to her, Zodiac's head and tail were high.
Zodiac's muscles were tense and were easily seen through her black coat as she walked around in circles around the other German Shepherd. I will show this rat who is the dominate of us both...

Eli looked between the two german shepherds, his head tilted in an adorable expression of pup-like confusion. He could sense tension between the females and it confused him. They'd just met, why were they so....nyeh at each other? A determined snort escaped his nose as he realized that some of the tension seemed focused around his new 'big brother'. "I don't think I EVER wanna grow up if this is what's waitin' for me," he thought, shaking his head slightly.
He plodded over to Shyamide and sniffed her curiously before scampering over to greet Zodiac as well before slinking off towards his fellow males to escape the aggressiveness.

Shyamide withdrew her attention from the adorable Eli, turning to give a bemused glance to the agressive canine standing in front of her. Wow, someone's a bit touchy, she thought as she heard a growl coming from her maw, and the silvery femme couldn't help but snort. It was amazing she hadn't been mauled already with a temper like that.
"No need to start fights," replied Shyamide innocently, with a small smirk as she stalked past Zodiac, completely ignoring the other femme's attempt to show domination. With a lithe bound, she stepped up onto the chair Zodiac had previously been sitting on, and made herself comfortable.
"'Pampered house rat?' Just because I look after my appearance," she thought to herself, but didn't voice her opinion out loud. She'd only just got here, she'd rather not be involved in a brawl just yet.

Darthyn hopped off of his chair, a snarl erupting from raspy vocals. He stallked quickly past Shy, giving her a dominating glare, and walked over to Zodiac, to whom he gave a small grunt of dissatisfaction.
"I don't need this fighting and senseless bickering in my PACK!" He growled, his ears set back. He looked rather intimidating at his point, his bulging muscled tensed and rigid. Rico looked from dog to dog, and a small yap of agreement left his maw. "Si. I agree. We are supposed to be amigos!" He said, his voice surprisingly deep and suave for one so small and awkward. Perhaps it was the flair of the Spanish.
The alpha snarled to finalize the conflict and stalked slowly out of the Lodge. He needed to cool off, possibly go for a nice, relaxing swim in the Creek. Too much tension already! Females...[/i ]

Eli tried to blend in with the couch when Darthyn got involved in the squabble. He glance at Rico, his eyes wide before glancing back to the females, his ears pricked with curiosity. He wondered what their reactions would be before his thoughts shifted to whether or not he should follow his mentor out. He thought it best to just stay behind for now.
He was a rebel, yes, but he wasn't stupid. Even at only six weeks, he was smart enough to know when to leave other dogs alone. Most of the time, that is.
