OOC: I had a sudden rush of muse... couldn't help it. =)
Daze walked alongside the creek, his bod relaxed but his eyes full of curiosity. The dog's claws sunk into the moist earth, just enough to create faint prints in the dirt. Daze's tail swung gently back and forth, his steps coming faster and faster. Soon Daze had kicked into a swift lope, his strides long and smooth. The dog's floppy ear bumped against his brown cranium, over and over again. The other ear was pulled forward, tuned into the rushing of the creek beside him.
But suddenly Daze slipped, a yelp rolling from his maw as his hind legs slid right through the thick mud on the bank. The dog struggled, but he had no chance and was quickly pulled into the creek's cold depths. Daze thrashed around, his eyes open wide as he felt cold water weigh him down. Daze quickly kicked into a dog paddle, and focused on the bank ahead. Soon he reached the edge, and was now left with the task of hauling himself up the slippery bank.
Daze furrowed his eyebrows, and with a sudden burst of energy he attempted to zip up the incline. Daze made it halfway, but then started slipping again. But, finally, he felt the grass underneath his paws. Daze sighed, relieved, when he cast a glance to the side. There was a perfect, easy slope that gradually led to the water and was virtually mud less. A frown quickly developed on Daze's maw as he realized that he could have just used that for an exit. And as he glanced at his muddy, wet pelt the frown only grew. But in a second, it was wiped off his face.
Daze whirled around, his eyes laid upon a large duck that had took a landing in the creek. He uttered a few loud barks, charged full of energy and excitement. Daze then bounded toward the creek, and launched himself toward the duck. But before his jaws could possibly reach it, it flew off. Daze then landed smack in the middle of the creek, and realized his mistake. "Aaaah! I hate this stinkin' creek!" he shrieked, and kicked out in the water.
