In-Depth:
Personality: Exciteable, puppish (childish/childlike), and somewhat absentminded, Amberstar shows his puppypet upbringing in everyday life. He does his best though, striving to do right by every canine he meets, whether they wish to join MeadowClan or are simply passing by. Fiercely loyal and highly religious after his dream from StarClan, he lives his life strictly by the warrior code. Amberstar does have his petty hatreds and jealousies- mostly of those who easily adjust to Clan life- but the retriever mix pushes the emotions aside whenever he must, though he does not always entirely succeed.
Appearance: Amberstar is a buttery golden color, his long fur taking color from his Labrador father and length from his Golden mother. His tail is long and feathered, like his mother's. The male's paws are broad and slightly webbed. Due to Amberstar's age, white has begun to dust his muzzle and underneath his eyes. Short and stocky as well, the mixed-blooded dog has thick muscle built up over the short time since the founding of the Clans; though he appears quite strong, Amberstar has not had the time to strengthen himself to his full potential.
History: Born to Feather and Jeb, Amber was just another pup born to a family of clueless housefolk who did not know to separate their male Labrador Retriever from their female Golden Retriever when the female was in heat. His litter was small for both breeds, only seven in total. Of that seven, two were stillborn. Feather mourned them quietly, and Jeb consoled her as best he could.
Amber was sold at eight weeks of age to a military man who wanted his children to have some form of comfort when he left. They moved to Alaska from Iowa when the puppypet was a year old. There he lived a fairly average, unremarkable life.
Until StarClan sent him a dream and changed his life forever.
Create a Clan, they commanded. And though Amber did not know why, he obeyed, and formed MeadowClan. The spiritual Clan gave him the sign of their approval by granting him eight extra lives and bequeathing him a new name. Amberstar... just the sound of it lingering in his ear fur when he awoke in the newly made camp sent pleasant chills racing up his spine. At first, Amberstar could not identify it; as time trickled by, the name came to him. Destiny.
Other: Amberstar once had a mate, but she died without bearing pups. (Also, Jeb is the name of my yellow lab. He's the son of my dad's dogs and has only ever known me and my brother as owners. Amberstar is for him <3 )

(This is Glacierpaw; if you want it to be Amberstar, just let me know.)
At night, the Glowbug Falls came alive. Glacierpaw knew, on an intellectual level, that the life she perceived was simply the light from the glowbugs; however, their light seemed to breathe an ethereal sense of... being into the falls and the surrounding area. Beautiful and simple, rather like Glacierpaw herself. Not that she was simple-minded (far from it), but that she had a rather simple outlook on life; it was to be lived and enjoyed, nothing more.
The young she-wolf snorted at her own thoughts. Perhaps she held a simple outlook, but the face she presented to the Clan and the world had been forged simple for survival's sake. Before Glacierpaw had joined ArborClan, and after Timber's death, the only way to avoid the notice of older, ruthless male wolves- particularly alphas- was to seem too stupid and carefree to be of much use.
So Glacierpaw pretended, and eventually the facade became part of who she was. And, as the black apprentice cheerfully said, the pawsteps did not stop appearing because a canine felt anything. Move with the pawsteps of time and all will eventually be well.
If only life were truly that easy.
Deep blue eyes narrowed at the thought, she shoved her pessimistic musings away. They were so unlike her, and she- her eyes lit up, thoughts disappearing as Glacierpaw lurched forward under the moon's watchful eye. She snapped at a glowbug that had flown directly in front of her eyes, chasing it around the area with a wide doggy grin on her face and tongue lolling out and to the right. This, this was what she was like. Happy and a bit impulsive, carefree and pup-like.
Glacierpaw let out a bark of laughter, forgetting that she had snuck out of camp when thoughts of her mother and never-known brother plagued her. Her only kin lay forgotten in the back of her mind, contentedly watching as the black she-wolf played in the chill air and strained her muzzle toward a happily out of reach target.
