Personality: Birdnose is a kindhearted, fatherly, and quick-thinking male. Though it is new, and a tad bit on the unorganized side, he loves his clan and would die defending it. He is extremely loyal, both to his clan and his friends, and is always willing to help them and anyone in need of assistance. Some may think him brave, considering the things he'll do to protect or defend someone, but Birdnose only considers it as a random act of kindness, often shrugging off the thanks he recieves afterwords. He adores puppies and youngsters, often found lingering around the nursery or the apprentice den, and would love to have some of his own one day. But, not too soon, of course! Though, they're are a few flaws to his unique design. His mind works like that of a younger dog, quick and full of words that should be left unsaid. However, he sometimes has trouble keeping his trap shut and often blurts out whatevers on his his mind, appropriate or not! He can also become fairly violent when angered or threatened, often jumping at the dog, or any creature for that matter, even despite orders sometimes, and giving them a good bitting to remember him by.
Appearance: Though he's a tad small for his breed, Birdnose is a fairly large dog, thanks to his long legs. His bulid is thin, lean, but he does have some definate muscle. His pelt, for the most part, is a silky white, with only the exception of some ginger, brown, and black patches across his face, neck, and back. Quite a handsome mix of colors, by most, of not all, people's standards. His eyes, large and pools of emotion, are a silky-copper brown color that look deep enough to see into the dog's very soul. He's quite the little looker, if he does say so himself.
History: Bird, as was his name then, was born a rogue. Along with two sisters, Fern and Leaf, he was the pup to a pure-breed coonhound female named Singer, and a Mutt named Weed. Bird loved his family, as most youngsters do, and they loved him back. Well... most of them did. Fell, an older pup of Weed and Singer's from two years before, grew increasingly jealous of his new siblings as his parents gave them the attention he thought he deserved, and had his father shut him out, instead granting Bird his fatherly approval while Fell was simply casted into the shadows. But not for long, as Bird soon found out. Out of spite, and jealousy, Fell turned on his own father and mother, and his siblings too, and killed both Singer and Weed, and little Fern. Terrified, Bird and Leaf ran as fast as they could from their crazed brother, never wishing to see him again. The two soon stumbled across a twoleg town where they were found and cared for by a newly married couple. However, it didn't feel right to Bird. Though he enjoyed the food and love of the twolegs, the wild just felt more like home to him. So, he left the twolegs and his sister (now renamed Aisha), unable to persuade her to come with him, and struck out to find and make a home in the wilds of Alaska.
Bird simply wandered, scavenging for food and hunting small prey as his father had shown him, living on the edge as a rogue. He soon grew to be a healthy and proud male, however, and lived within a meadow-filled valley. One day, he came across a traveller, like himself, who told him about the four cat clans to the south. The thought of living with other dogs, caring for each other and helping gather food, was quite an appealing idea. So, after finding some others that shared his thoughts, he gave himself the new name of Birdnose and went off to find the clan that he had heard was in the valley; Meadowclan.
