The Top Dog
Darthynwolfy mutt - 5 years - male
The Basics
Name: Darthyn (dar - thin) Age: 5 years Breed: Mutt (of wolf origins) Gender: Male
Allegiances
Pack: Evergreen Forest Rank: Alpha
Family by Chance
Mother: Kala (deceased) Father: Unknown Siblings: None
Family by Choice
Mate: None (previous mate, Vex, deceased) Offspring: None
In-Depth
Appearance: He is a large brute of a dog, with well-muscled shoulders and hind-quarters. His body is covered with dusky gray fur, which darkens at certain points on his body, especially his face and chest. His eyes are a deep, haunting amber, like those of the wild wolf. He has large paws with long claws and a medium-length tail. He has a rather attractive but crooked way of smiling, where he lifts one corner of his mouth higher than the other. This is an unintentional quirk of course, but a rather ruggedly handsome one at that.
Personality: A fearless leader, Darthyn is strong and proud. He doesn't often show emotion or fear, so the pack follows him faithfully. He is the leader of the Wasteland Pack, and he intends for it to stay that way. Life on the streets has hardened Darthyn to the core, but he does love a good joke. Though stern and strict, Darthyn can be kind and compassionate, and he is extremely responsible, always knowing when (and when not) to act.
Though he hides his emotions behind a stone facade, anyone who is close to the alpha knows that he is a little lonely, although he'd never admit it. He longs for a family, something he's never really had, but he won't allow himself to take on a mate at the present time. He doesn't want to endanger anyone, especially because having a mate would give enemies something to target if they sought to hurt the alpha.
History: After being weaned by his mother in a warm, dusty abandoned barn, Darthyn set out for life alone in the wild. Little did he know, he would end up ruling over a large faction of stray forest dogs. He had heard stories of a place called Harlow Heights, and how savage life was there, but also how rewarding it could be if a dog could handle it. Darthyn knew he could. The big city seemed scary and intimidating to the young dog, but just beyond its borders, Darthyn knew he would find his true calling: to be the leader of the Evergreen Forest pack. So he set out for the rough town and its surrounding forests, trekking long days and nights until he arrived there and claimed his position as ruler. No one has dared oppose him since.
A year or so after he formed the pack, he met a beautiful Border Collie named Vex. She was enchanting and smart, seemingly perfect. Young and vulnerable as he was, Darthyn fell in love, and soon sired a daughter they named Cambria. Shortly after Cambria was weaned, Vex was killed from an infected rat bite. Heartbroken, Darthyn swore to himself that he'd never be weak enough to love again, that love was only fleeting and could be ripped away at any moment. He swore to devote himself to his pack and raising his daughter. From that day forward, the only female he has ever loved has been his precious daughter.

The Ugly Duckling
Lintu aussie x border collie - two years - female
The Basics
Name: Lintu Age: Two years Breed: Australian Shepherd x Border Collie Gender: Female
Allegiances
Pack: Evergreen Forest Rank: Member
Family by Chance
Hazel(deceased) - Baxter (deceased) Siblings: Shimmer
Family by Choice
Mate: None Offspring: None
In-Depth
Appearance: She has a predominantly gray pelt with a white face and underbelly. She has darker gray/black blothes along her back, often referred to as blue merle patterning among Twolegs. Her fluffy ears are pointed like those of a wolf or a German Shepherd, but they don't stand up all the way. They flop slightly at the very tips, giving her an awkward appearance. Her eyes would be the most striking thing about her if she wasn't so odd looking. One of them is a deep, rich brown, while the other one is light blue on the bottom and the same chocolate brown on the top. Her nose is a mottled mosaic of black and pink, and so are her paw pads. She has a medium build, and a long, luxuriously bushy tail.
Personality: Lintu is a sweet young thing, but she is very unsure of herself. She knows she's a great hunter (because of her herding instincts), but she is very insecure about her looks. When she sees her reflection in a puddle, the only thing she sees is her scruffy, mottled white pelt, her strange eyes, and her mosaic-like nose. She completely lack confidence, so sometimes her performance is compromised by unspoken doubts. Behind her self-conscious exterior lies the heart of a warrior. If you look past her strange appearance, Lintu is a funny, caring, gentle, peaceful, intelligent young pup, although her pessimism seems to get in the way of that.
She never seems to be able to ignore the looks the males give the pretty females in the pack, and she resents them for being so beautiful. Her dearest wish is to be a beautiful she-wolf or a nice husky or something of that nature, but she knows she is stuck in that blotchy pelt of hers. Perhaps she will gain more confidence with age, but for now, little Lintu can only sit by and watch the males pad after the pretty females.
History: Lintu was born to one of the prettiest dogs in the Heartland, Hazel. Her sister, Shimmer, was just as pretty as her mother, and as soon as Lintu opened her eyes, she knew she was different. Her sight was just as sharp, her hearing just as acute, her sense of smell just as accurate as her sister's, but she always felt inferior to her in every way. As much as her mother and sister loved her and encouraged her, Lintu always felt like an outsider, worlds away from her beautiful relatives. Her mother always said that Lintu was the image of her father, Baxter, who was one of the best hunters she knew, but he died before Lintu was born.

The Pretty Little Oddball
Pippa 28 moons - herding dog mutt - oddball
The Basics
Name: Pippa ("Pip") Age: 18 months Breed: Mutt (of herding dog origins) Gender: Female
Allegiances
Pack: Central Urban Rank: Member
Family by Chance
unknown: unknown: Siblings: none
Family by Choice
Mate: None Offspring: None
In-Depth
Appearance: Tall and long-legged, Pippa strikes a graceful figure, although that is hardly the case. Over her off-white underbelly is a blanket of honey-colored fur, in typical border collie pattern, suggesting that she has origins in the breed. Her nose and underbelly are covered in adorable honey-colored freckles, which complement her icy blue eyes very nicely. All in all, she's a very pretty dog. She is the height of a typical collie type dog, and her fur is short on her head and lower legs, but she has very fine feathering along her body. Her paw pads and nails are pink, and up until she was a year old, so was her nose. Since then, it has darkened to a soft brown color, but her paws have remained puppy-pink. Her tail is long and heavily feathered, golden on the top and white on the bottom. An example of how her coat looks is here.
Personality: Aside from being extremely smart and creative, she's the oddest, and strangest dog most people have ever met. She's a compulsive collector, collecting things at random, oftentimes having to steal them. She's very unpredictable, and she sometimes disappears to her secret place (where she hides all of her "collectibles") for days at a time. She is a little bit immature, and she has a hard time deciding when to be quiet and when to speak, and usually her decision ends up being the wrong one. She is just the teensiest bit scatterbrained, oftentimes forgetting and confusing the names of dogs she's known for years. It has nothing to do with her intelligence, which is far beyond average (due to her border collie blood), it's mostly attributed to the major concussion she suffered as a pup.
Oftentimes, she is haunted by disturbing dreams from her past. Besides that, Pip is an agreeable, friendly dog who loves her life and her friends. She is a bit strange though. She mutters under her breath a lot, about dreams and other random things that no dog will ever understand. She has no idea how gorgeous she is, either. She gets very confused when males look at her in that way, because she has no idea what they are thinking. She is extremely innocent, and while she knows where puppies come from, she refuses to speak of it because it is, and I quote, "yicky". She has a hard time imagining herself ever in that position, so she just shrugs off any and all male attention that she gets. She loves to hunt large prey, another attribute of her herding dog ancestry, and she's very good at it. When she is hunting, Pip is serious and very concentrated. It is the only time when she seems, well, normal.
History: Pip has had no fewer than seven human families. As a pup, Pip was found and rescued by the Humane Association; she was found by a rocky streambed, with her fur all matted and wet and covered in moss and twigs. She had been swept down the stream and banged her head on the rocks as she went, causing her to have a hairline skull fracture and minimal damage to her frontal lobe. The Humane Association rehabilitated her and adopted her out to her first family, the Watsons.
Just when she was settling in, they moved away and left Pip all by herself. This chain repeated itself, until Pip became so crazy and hard to handle that no human would take her. She was on the list to be euthanized when the disease hit and the humans failed to show up at the shelter. She was able to escape and after being on the run for a few weeks, she joined the Central Urban Pack.
