Name: Medusa Gender: Female(in tact) Age: Three years Breed: Saluki Pack: None Personality: A person who trusts no one can't be trusted. This little quote shows most of Medusa’s personality. The Saluki is naturally suspicious, never trusting anyone fully even if she knew them for a few years. It’s got nothing to do with betrayal or the fact someone could turn on her. She really can’t explain it, it’s just how Medusa feels about people. But people can’t really trust her either, no matter what. For a source of amusement, Medusa often tells lies and secrets about dogs just to watch a fight or argument. The dog’s sneaky about it sometimes, but she’s not perfect. She can get caught a lot, and she always attempts to get out of it with smooth talk. Salukis aren’t built for fighting, so she stays out of physical fights as much as possible. That doesn’t mean she wouldn’t kill, just so long as they wouldn’t move while she did it.
The fact that she enjoys watching others fight may be because she’s sadistic(or lonely). She takes great joy in other people’s pain and negative emotions, often playing the Devil’s Advocate and saying things just to annoy someone else. This helps her become quite a good liar, but doesn’t really use those lying skills to make herself seem like someone else. Medusa isn’t afraid to be herself, even if it’s not the best dog to be. Medusa enjoys watching anyone suffer, whether it be a puppy or an old dog. It’s fun for her, and possibly her only past time unless something is of special interest. But when something like that happens, it’s probably quite a terrible plot or object.
When it comes to intelligence, she’s not an absolute genius. Medusa can be quick witted at times, but is certainly not great at immediate comebacks, which is why she enjoys starting arguments but not continuing them. She can think of plans, obviously, but they take time and most of the time they have a few loop holes, and this is one reason why she’s a follower and not a leader. She sometimes relies on others to think of and do things for her, which makes her sometimes too reliant on people without showing it, and can be stuck when some dogs don’t do the things she expects. Intelligence is certainly not on her side, although she does know a lot about the streets from a young age. Certainly not everything, but a lot.
Loud and bold, she is not. Medusa enjoys working silently and going unnoticed, meaning she can do things a lot more easily. Under pressure or in large groups, Medusa gets stressed out. Medusa can actually be quite the coward, always using someone or something else as a shield if she must do something she doesn’t like. The girl’s just naturally quiet, not really seeing the point in being so obnoxious and immature. At that note, you can tell Medusa’s quite mature. She enjoys spending her days watching people and learning things, or just watching people and making fun of them. She’s an obvious hypocrite because of this, but she ignores that fact. The only reason she’d be a loud dog is if she needs to get attention from someone urgently. History: Medusa’s past wasn’t terrifyingly horrible. She didn’t have any tragic deaths or amazing fights she could brag about, and then get pity for afterward when she mentioned that her whole family died in it. No, no, no. For as long as she could remember, Medusa’ family had been healthy and very much alive. They didn’t have any problems with anyone else, and were living quite happily on the edge of Harlow as strays, getting scraps of meat from farms and houses or catching squirrels. Her parents met as strays in a small forest and hit it off right away. They were both salukis, her mother named Pocahontas and her father name Arrow. It wasn’t the most original of names, but Arrow didn’t choose it.
Having a litter of four, Medusa being the oldest, Arrow and Pocahontas did their best to keep their children alive. Medusa’s siblings were named(from youngest to oldest), Anya, a lovely girl. Stefano, a rowdy boy and Calypso, a very pessimistic girl. Medusa got along with her siblings in different ways, always seeming to somehow please them and make them happy. This talent soon vanished, however, when Stefano’s personality shone through. Medusa disliked him immediately, and they threw insult after insult at each other, not caring about how the others felt about their daily banters. When the siblings were a year old, they went their separate ways apart from Anya and Stefano, who stuck with each other and their parents. Medusa left for Harlow, but it didn’t take long for her to get there.
Living there for two years already, Medusa now knows almost everything about the place. She doesn’t care about the packs and refuses to join one. And for being there for a few years, she still doesn’t know much about the disappearing humans and whatnot. Other: … Hi :D
