Name: Twilight
Gender: Female (intact)
Age: 3
Breed: White German Shepherd
Stray or Domestic: Domestic
Personality: Twilight has always been quiet, and somewhat reclusive. Daily times to sit alone and think are a must for pensive Twilight. She might seem cold, since it take so long for her to open up, but cold isn’t the right word for it. Being very wary of strangers makes her seem that way. Some may think she is moody though, for she can go from lying placidly on the ground, to lunging at your throat for passing too close before you blink. A brush against your side, or sitting close enough to touch fur is a sign of high trust and respect, when you can know you are in her inner circle of trustees. An occasional growl is her usual warning, but if not heeded, it is quickly backed up with a lunge. It takes time to adapt to her strange ways. Fear is not an emotion easily found in Twilight. The only fear she does feel, is for those closest to her. Twilight is very loyal, but rarely finds those, in her eyes, worth giving her loyalty to. She always takes her responsibility seriously, and can adapt quickly to new situations. Preferably, she would always take the alpha position, but would only fight for it if the current leader was weaker than she.
History: Growing up in a pristine home Twilight had it off well from the start. Her parents being show dogs, she was bred to be the best. She had few littermates, and she definitely stood out as the alpha, and disciplinary. As she grew older, she strayed off alone more and more. The family wondered about her, but there wasn’t much to do about a reclusive pup. Once weaned, show dog training for her was to start. To the slight disappointment on her owners’ part, a young woman, named Lilly, made an offer on the young Twilight they couldn’t refuse. Living with Lilly separated her from the only family she had known, but she soon forgot her puppy hood. She had a new family now, one that didn’t give her worrying glances when she just sat on the porch and stare out into the world. Happiness was hers. The two were virtually inseparable. Twilight was Lilly’s loyal protector and friend, and Lilly was Twilight’s loyal friend and provider.
