Name: Dahlia
Gender: Intact Female
Age: Two
Breed: Shar-Pei
Personality: Dahlia is everything that is expected of her breed, and sticks to its standards carefully. She is well-maintained, spoiled, and slightly aggressive. She is acutely suspicious of all strangers, and thus does not make friends easily or well. Downright dedicated to one single person, she could never be rehomed with anyone else, for she trusts only one and is stubborn as well. Easily bored with mundane activities, she is always looking for something to get herself into.
History: Dahlia was a gift to a young woman named Melanie from her father. Melanie was a college student moving to the small area of Harlow to continue her education and beginning her career. When her father mentioned a guard dog and loving pet, Melanie had never invisioned that the wrinkly mess he gave her would amount to anything. She was indeed wrong. The two formed a special bond between each other, as Melanie moved into a massive home with only herself and her canine companion present. She has no pitiful past as a stray, or a rescue... Just the boring history of a purebred puppy adopted for a spoiled daughter.
Appearance: Altogether Dahlia is a strange-looking creature. As a puppy, she was a ball of wrinkles and something everyone would want to hold and snuggle. As a now maturing adult, her coat is still wrinkled and prickly, short, and hangs off of her toned body. Her coat is rose colored, so light it is almost fawn, darkening to a mahogany-black on her face. Her ears are small, close to her skull, and in the shape of dainty, rounded arrows. Her face is full of wrinkles, nearly obscuring her dark, intelligent eyes in the folds; but her chest and upper body have a tightly clung apperance, while the wrinkles resume on her shoulders and hindquarters. Her tail is small, thick, and curls in towards her left hip. She is an exceptional specimen of the original breed standard.
