Name: Mbala
Gender: Intact Male
Age: Four
Breed: Boerboel
Personality: Mbala is quiet and reserved, but he can often be heard singing Afrikkan songs from his home country. He is very territorial by nature, but if his trust is gained it is never lost. Faithful, loyal, and dedicated; he finds giving his life for a good cause is the best thing a dog may do. He is peaceable at heart, but often uses intimidation as a helpful tool in guarding his owners and territory. Although a fight is the last thing he will resort to, he has instincts and breeding to insure a violent success.
History: Mbala was imported directly from his homeland of South Africa. His breed is rare and prized in the States, and for good reason. His owners recieved him as a three year old, where he was already trained as a guard dog and hunter. (not that the hunting will come in as much use in the city) They use him to protect their family, home, and young children from the strays and other dangers of the lands, as well as a simple family pet for their children. They are almost always out of town on vacations, having their lives made with their small farm fortune out in the country but there is always at least one friend around to feed and tend to him.
Appearance: Image of perfection as far as his breed is concerned, his form is powerful and sleek. His golden skin fits tightly around his muscular bulk of a body. His breeding ensures agility, endurance, and a prey drive; and this is apparent in his wonderfully sculpted body. His tail is a short stub, chopped off at birth. His face holds the lightest tinge of black, and his jaws droop only slightly like the mastiffs his breed developed from. His paws are huge, large enough to dwarf a child's face. He is actually somewhat small for his breed, but still stands at a massive twenty-seven inches at the shoulder and weighs one hundred and ninety eight pounds.
