Nighttime. Thunder. Lightning. Pouring Rain. These were a few things of which Neveah padded home through. It was cold, the wind whipping her pelt about as it lashed at her face. She kept her head down, though, not minding it because once she got home Orion, her human, would be there to greet her with a scratch of her ears moments before he’d wrap her in a warm towel and give her some food. Just thinking of her loving human made her smile and her tail sway as she picked up her pace so as to get home faster.
Splat Splat Splat. It was the noise that her paws made upon the cement stairs as she made her way up the steep stairwell to the floor that Orion lived on. Her nares flared briefly as she caught scent of someone making steak within the house. Hmm.. food. she thought to herself as she finally came to stand before the doorway. Lifting up a paw she then allowed her talons to rake along the door a few times, a whine and bark then sounding from her as she then continuosly pawed at the door. Orion! I’m home! thought the cocoa pelted vixen with a swish of her tail.
Time passed and nobody came, Neveah felt confused.. This IS Orion’s place.. isn’t it? Yes, it had to be. She’d been raised in this place, she knew its scent, its people, its look. So how could she have possibly come to the wrong place? Neveah let out a shrill whining bark, a loud one, as she then continued to claw at the doorway. Finally, someone answered. It was John. ”Oh, it’s Neveah guys. “ spoke the man as he looked down at her with a beer within his hand. ”Isn’t that Orion’s dog?” he asked as he looked back over his shoulder and stepped back to let Neveah in.
”Took you long enough…” she thought to herself as she walked into the house and looked about. The place smelled of beer, they had obviously been partying or just hanging out. But something was odd about the different scents about here. One of them was very faint… It was Orion’s. She’d been here yesterday morning and come back tonight… So why was his scent like this...
”Yeah, it is. But Orion moved out yesterday. He looked all over for that dog and couldn’t find her. So when the moving trucks said they were ready to go, he had to go and left.” said Art as he glanced back to Neveah who was now standing within the kitchen sniffing about. ”Poor girl… She doesn’t know that her daddy’s gone but still came home.”
Neveah’s head rose as she heard what they spoke of. Orion was… gone? Where’d he go? Why’d he leave her… Papa… she thought to herself as she then left the kitchen and ran down the hall to Orion’s room. Soft whine left her as she found that it was empty. His bed, his dresser, everything… Gone. Behind her John and Art followed, sadness upon their faces as Neveah then moved to the middle of the room where Orion’s bed had been and sat down with a whimper after briefly sniffing the area. She looked back to them then, sadness within her eyes as she canted her head back and just howled. ”PAPAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Come home! “ was her message. ”I’m here! Please come back…”
Art and John looked at each other sadly for a moment before Art then went to the bathroom and got a towel as he then came over to Neveah and wrapped it about her, drying her pelt. ”Shhh, Neveah.. I’m sorry girl.. Daddy’s not here anymore.” he told her as he ruffled her pelt beneath the towel and helped dry her. Neveah just whimpered softly, her ears pulling back against the chocolatey tendrils of her mane as she looked down and let him dry her.
Once her pelt was dry the boys gave her some food and let her stay the night. Neveah, as usual, went to her bedroom to sleep with Orion and again found that the room was empty. So, turning about she then went over to Art who was passed out on the couch and climbed up onto him, falling asleep with her body stretched out along his, her head resting over his left shoulder. His scent was different, he wasn’t her Papa… But she was lonely and he’d have to do.
Street Rat… The lady is now a Tramp..
When morning came Art and John gave her some food and let her out of the house when she asked, telling her that she could come home to them anytime she wanted… But in the back of her mind Neveah felt like saying “No.” No, because she no longer had any reason to be there… Her daddy was gone and from the looks of it.. he wasn’t coming back.
With that now behind her, Neveah found herself within Crystal Gorge in this lovely place. She didn’t care who lived here. She felt hurt, alone, and would have to make this her new home. Her mind wandered back a few weeks before as she wondered about the Incardnay brute and wondered if she’d ever see him again, but somehow she doubted it though it was something she’d like.

Incardnay;; Your worst fear in the flesh
Large obsidian paws trembled. Raven jowls twitched. Onyx harks splayed from time to time. An ebonite cranium scratched along the ground in stutters. Grunts continually tried to kick start a trouble larynx.
Screams; the only other thing that filled the room next to pitiful cries and desperate sobs. Kids bunched together by the arms of a distraught mother, their tear streaked visages buried within the confines of her chest. Anger and horror pirated what was once a loving, caring face. Liquefied hazel visionaries embedded within that moist face peered out and followed the movement of the large demon that stalked and paced about the same room. A light trace of confusion riddled those pretty eyes of hers, but the hate and possible knowledge of what might be overrode any questions she might of obtained. "GET OUT OF HERE YOU DEMON!" Her kids wailed a terrified backup chorus after their mothers shout, as if reassuring themselves of their presences, that this was reality, or perhaps to emphasize their helplessness. "SHUT UP!" The demon roared in response, but of course to them it came as an unearthly snarl. He had had enough of their whimpers and pleas. "Why are you here..?" Her voice palsied, "WHAT DO YOU WANT DEMON!?" A devil-laced growl practically vibrated the floor below them, a throaty last reminder to hold their tongues or else they'd be missing them. Their cries grew muffled, but more than usual. The beast stopped, fixing eerily lemon hued oculi upon the group bound together. Her eyes were now fixed behind him while her lips parted a few centimeters to suck in a barely audible rush of air. Quick yet heavy footsteps thudded behind him. Redirecting his maw, 'Card fixed his gaze upon a fiercely determined two-legged male. As the man charged towards him, he heaved an object upwards, only to keep it suspended over his apex while his jaws parted in his own ferocious yell. Skimming the humans toned arms up towards what hovered above him, a low fart of protest squeezed pasted absurdly tight digits about the handle of an elongated wooden object: a bat. The human took one last step forward, thrusting forth all his weight he could muster as he brought down the bat towards the skull top of the foreign creature terrorizing his family;;;
Incardnay jolted awake, his powerful jaws parting a tad while his salmon pink tongue tickled the front of his canines, small gasps of oxygen inflating and deflating his lungs rapidly. It had been awhile since he had such dreams, a few good years actually, so why were they returning all of a sudden? Whatever reason he could of conjured up was all but broken once the clicks of nails whispered into the brutes now peaked harks.
Intruder.
But then again, he didn't own the place, so a stray animal seeking shelter should of been common. Nonetheless, he wasn't about to let whatever it was go without a second thought lingering in the back of their noggins as to whether or not they should just barge into some place like this again. Shoving his toned chassis off the chilled floor of the cavern below, he allowed his abnormally sized paws to practically float him over towards the source of the clicks. Having the benefit of wolven blood taint his husky genes was quite a gift, especially when it came to overpowering something, and really instincts and senses all around. He was, to say the least, a bit more hypersensitive to everything else any normal dog would of possibly been. Incardnays pace slowed as he neared, being sure to keep his stalk to a silent prowl. Steel orbits gravitated about the premesis, searching for the nomad-- And there it was.
Or rather, she.
It was a bit dark, to say the least, but the silhouette of the wandering creature certainly held that of feminine features. 'Cards jet black nose flared slightly, only to have an instant memory erupt; a squirming figure below him; water rushing at a deadly soothing pace below like the cold hand of a murder against its victims head; whimpers resounding, begging with all its might for him to stop his escapade.
Of course: Neveah. But something was different about her this time, it was in the way she carried herself, the way the nails echoed so somberly as she walked. Canting his dial to the side, his lanterns narrowed slightly as he examined her gloomy demeanor. "Mm-hem." Casting a muffled throat clear in her direction, he hoped to snag her attention more subtly. "Was I a little too hard on you our first time, Neveah?" He had yet to lose his sadistically sarcastic nature.
Probably never would, either.

Space. It seemed that as she sat within this crystal covered place all her eyes seemed to zone off on were space. A memory briefly flitted through her mind of the day Orion had snatched her up from the path of a car as she stood there terrified in the rain. He’d saved her and given her a home. As she stared into the crystal covered wall she saw the mirage of his face from her point of view as he held her huddled up in a towel to warm her up, after which he had fed her her first meal.
Neveah was snapped free of her zoned out state as she heard the voice of someone behind her, mocha painted harks then swiveled back as she listened to it. It was familiar and took her a moment, but as the scent of the being flowed up to her and she heard his last remark she knew who it was. It was Incardnay, the brute that she’d run across at the river. The same brute that she’d teased only moments before he’d forced her to submit. That little event was not about to be something this female forgot any time soon, for he’d been the only brute successfully do it in the blink of an eye.
Faint yet brief swish of her plume was seen as she then craned her boa about and leveled her eyes upon the form of Incardnay. ”Incardnay….” she spoke softly as she then turned about and strode over to his side. She wasn’t sure how to feel about him being here, yet at the same time she did. She felt happy to see a familiar face, relieved that it was him, yet she felt a lil timid and on edge as well for the memory she’d shared with him last time she’d been in his presence was still fresh.
Obviously the memory was still quite fresh within his mind as well, for he’d brought up the subject quite freely though she could sense the tease in his voice. She tried to smile as she looked back at him with eyes of silver and blue, sitting down before him. ”Perhaps that’s just how I like it… “ soothed her quiet yet smooth lyrics as she watched him.
She’d decided to do her best to forget about her human. It was like her other human Art had said whenever he broke up with his girlfriend. “Love that can end was never really love. Same goes for relationships.” By thinking of her human she’d only drag herself down. She didn’t want that. No, right now all she wanted to think of was Incardnay. Love that can end was never really love… Same goes for relationships..” she thought to herself quietly as she sat before the handsome black brute.
”What brings you here?” she asked with a tilt of her head. ”Don’t tell me you’re my stalker now..” she told him as the corners of her maw curled upwards into a grin. She was starting to relax a bit more, her somber mood now starting to disperse and go away. Perhaps she was supposed to be made a stray anyways…

Incardnays eyebrow arched questionably as the female pivoted upon her paws with a semi mirthful swish of her plume, only to trot on over towards him. Not mirthful perhaps, but more in a sense that there was something here finally to divert her mind elsewhere from its current distraught state, ”Perhaps that’s just how I like it… “ he knew she was trying to cover up the chaotic scene within.
"Oooooh tsk tsk on you love for even thinking you could hide something from me.." He cooed in his usual sinister hiss. Large paws now proceeded to dance around the female, rotating around her situated chassis like the shark he was, "And as for stalker m'love.." he brought his ebonite maw up towards her ear as he careened to a halt upon her right side, only to deliver quite the painful nip to her audits peak, "wouldn't you just wish it."
Navigating the rest of his frame around her own, he brought the tip of his onyx nose to her canted noggin, only to press his muzzle to her own and press, pushing it back to its original upright posture. It was a silent command to keep her head up, not out of respect for him (though she should have it anyway, and if she didn't he would address it promptly), but for herself mainly. Incardnay brought his own toned physique to a halt infront of her own much like she had his prior, a handsome yet devilish grin splaying across his black kissers. [[ Sorry so short, just getting back into the swing of things. ]]

Her eyes softly rolled for a moment, it seemed that she could hide nothing from him. No, he was far too smart, and she horrid at feigning happiness. Yet, she had seen it coming, and expected it as well. She watched him as he circled about her like a vulture, wondering just what it was that he was thinking as he did so, and her velvety brown ears pushed forward slightly as he spoke to her. As he nipped her ear she let out a soft whine, head turning as she nipped at his mane for a moment. The message was clear : That hurt! Looking away from him briefly her ears flicked back before perking again. She’d change subject to keep from snapping.
When her head had been pushed upright she made sure to keep it that way. There would be no testing him today. No, she’d learned her lesson in being rebellious towards him for the time being and wasn’t about to test him again. No, not right now when she had a package within her that would be put in danger as well. She’d be on her best behavior for the time being, a bit too depressed and yet nervous about the things within her life to really want to bother with a lot of added pain and ache.
Glancing into his eyes her ears pushed forward again as he sat before her. ”So, if you’re not stalking me… Then just what is it that bring you here? Wandering perhaps? Hunting?” asked the chocolate pelted vixen as she shifted her spine slightly before sitting still. Deep within her something felt weird, the sensation causing her to feel a little uneasy or it was new to her. She drew in a breath and glanced back to him quietly then, making sure to sit tall and to not cant her head after her question had been asked.
Her gaze briefly flickered upwards to the skies before it descended to rest upon the form of the handsome male before her. She wondered again just what he was thinking, but that seemed to be a common thought of hers as of late. She couldn’t explain why, but it was a reoccurring thought that danced through her mind whenever she was about him.
(( Its okay. I'm doin the same. ^_^ ))

An invisible slickness smoothed its way down his vertebrae, causing a rather odd sensation to tickle his nerves; and it was all due to her nip. There was something about this female, something about her that he couldn't quite place his dreadful paw on. And dammit that bothered him to a certain extent while it intrigued him at the same time.
”So, if you’re not stalking me… Then just what is it that bring you here? Wandering perhaps? Hunting?” "What's it to you, gorgeous?" His eyebrow perked itself once more. Although he was sure she tried to keep it under wraps, she was doing a horrible job; he had already taken note of her constant optic movement as well as the sudden rush of air that infiltrated her lungs. His own gaze eventually fell towards the pebble littered ground below--
and that's when he saw it; her swelled belly.
It wasn't too obvious no, but 'Card had a damn sharp eye. Nothing escaped him. Instantly his once cool steel pools now dyed to a vexed lemon yellow. Who in this fucking world dare touch her? His jowls twitched with the occasional upset of uncontrollable rage, ".. Are you.. pregnant..?" his breathing had already slowed to a deadly gradual inhale.
No no.. this can't be right.. an unspoken reassurance within his mind, Naw man.. she's just.. eating a little too much, that's all. Yeah. And this must be the most exercise she's gotten; obviously with that breath and all. His noggin nodded to each thought ruptured. Surely that was the case. If not..
there'd be a new meaning to hell on earth.

“What’s it to you, gorgeous?” Neveah lightly glanced away from Incardnay for a moment, closing her eyes slightly as her gaze fell to the ground, smile gracing her lovely maw, her cheeks heating with blush. How was it that with such a simple name he could make her heart race and get her face to flush with color? And how could he call her such things when she felt so wretched right now? The feeling eventually passed after a moment and she looked back to him with a soft grin upon her lips. ”Natural curiosity, love.” came her reply, her velvety brown harks pulling back for a moment before they perked again.
As she looked to him she noticed that his gaze searched and inspected her, but what was he looking at? The coloration within his eyes changed and she felt another feeling within her come flowing free. Dread. He stared at her with such irritation that she urged herself to stay put instead of standing up only to back up. No, she’d stand her ground, she didn’t know what he was thinking, or if he was even staring at her. That is until ..
“ …Are you.. pregnant..?”
Her gaze lightly flitted to her left before it rested back upon him again, her emotions truly roiling now. “ Well, last I checked...That’s what the result of you and I mating is, sweetheart.” she said in a calm yet playfully sarcastic tone. Mentally, her ears were falling back, though physically they weren’t. Physically she stayed sitting in front of him with a curious look within her eyes. He seemed irritated. What was wrong? Was it the fact that she was pregnant? Or perhaps that he didn’t know who’s pups they were.. Whatever it was, she hoped that he’d calm down.

“ Well, last I checked...That’s what the result of you and I mating is, sweetheart.”
'You and I' stuck out more so in his head then anything, and that was all he needed for his once dangerously ill orbs to null back to their usual sly steel, "Ah.. the bastards are mine then?" 'Bastards' of course was misused in this case, but surely in due time he'd disappear from the face of the earth as he had done many other places.
His demeanor had returned to its normal smooth devilish sarcasm, his handsome features relaxing into a more almost comforted, even satisfied grin.
But why?
Why in the world did he give two shits whether this bitch was pregnant or not with some other fuckheads kids? Such a rush of.. what was it.. protection? Jealousy? had come over him it was like a building eruption of Mt. St. Helens. If indeed they were some other brutes whelps he would of torn open her stomach right then and there and devoured the worthless beasts, then went after the mutt of whom had caused his own belly to become full for the evening.
"I see. And I suppose you intend on keeping the pricks?" What was he being so rude for anyway? They were his kids and she technically was his unspoken mate, so why was he continuing his verbal onslaught?
Oh right, because he was Incardnay; the sadistic, uncaring, selfish, murderous, rapist brute that didn't give two damns who lived and died in this world.
.. So why the sudden emotion rush? He was suppose to be free of emotion and really feeling all together. 'Cards brows furrowed in his own internal questionnaire, his fluffed plume thumping in contemplation behind his frame.

Neveah’s harks flicked forward softly as he spoke, his eyes changing back to their normal coloration. She smiled. ”Yes, of course they’re yours.” she answered him, plush strands of her banner now gently tracing the ground behind her for a moment as she looked to him. He was grinning ; was he happy about her having his children? It seemed like he was, and that put the dark brown female at ease, making her muscles relax again.
“I see. And I suppose you intend on keeping the pricks?”
Neveah rose to her feet with a soft roll of her eyes, only to stepp closer to hm, circling about him once as she then came to rest upon his right side. Why did he have to say such things about them.. They weren’t pricks, they were his children. That is.. unless they all turned out to be just like him.
”No, I’m going to give them away to a family of alley cats behind the Chinese restraunt on Second Street… “ she said with a grin before giving his mane a soft tug, flicking its soft strands up playfully before she looked back at him. ”Of course I’m going to keep them. They’re our children.” she said as a wisp of her chocolate mane flowed up against her face. She gave a soft shake of her head to dismiss it before she looked back at him once more. ”And you best be there to see them when their eyes are open so they at least know what their father looks like…” she said as she then gently nuzzled her face within the softness of his mane for a moment.
Neveah wanted him to be there to see the birth of his pups, or at least to see them when they were able to see. She didn’t want him to walk out on their kids before they ever got a chance to see what their father was like. If he chose to leave and never come back after they’d opened their eyes, it’d hurt.. But at least their kids will have seen their father. Neveah would have preferred that he stayed with her through it all, but she knew, or rather figured, that he probably wasn’t one to be the fatherly type to pups.
