Ariana padded through the grass, the wind whispering in her ears, and her blue-and-green eyes focused somberly ahead. She had been here meny times, normally to relax, but this was different. She had been itching to this, but she never managed to find the right time of day. Her green and blue optics focused on a cloud before they were covered with a furry drape. She pointed her nose towards the sky and let out a long, beautiful howl. As if in chorus, the wind ruffled her fur, and the grass below her. She had howled for any wolf, hoping for a stray to answer, and even more hopefully the alpha of the strays. She had seen him before, creeping through the shadows.
As her song ended she smiled at the thought of the alpha. He was a handsome brute, and she dream of becoming his mate one day. She shook her head, clearing her mind of the thoughts. Stupid!Fantasizing over males?Whats wrong with me?! she growled at herself. With an annoyed snort, she sat down by the pool, waiting.

The gorge had nearly no vegetation, and the rocks were slick with rain. The grasses that did grow were easily avoided if needed, for they usually sprouted in small patches where the stone was cracked to the soil underneath. This made a perfect situation for the stray that was creeping up on her. The wolf-dog would never hear the worn-down claws barely clicking on stone, nor the stray's gentle sniffing. She would, however, hear the next sound: a growl. The deep rumbling began in her throat and emerged from the sides of her quivering jowls, and she emerged frrom behind a rock, only slightly higher elevated than the grey bitch below her.
Her coloring was champagne and white, and it stood out with stark indifference against the grey of the gorge. Her shortly cropped ears stood up as horns high on her skull. White canines were showing against her healthy pink gums and richly colored black lips as she glared down at the trespassing dog. Her blue eyes were dull with conflict and pain, wide and nearly showing white rims. The amstaff-pit bull lowered her head close to the stone, shoulder blades doing a dance as she adjusted her footing. A short tail could be seen standing erect against the sky, a dominant gesture.
Who are you? She snapped, each word slowly and carefully enunciated between snarls.
The howl had woken Damacre from sleep, as she'd finally been adjusting to her new home in a pack. The security made the bitch very happy, the happiest she'd been in years. She had yet to prove her worth to the pack, and decided this may just be her chance. She must discern if this female here was just a very clean stray or a very, very lost pet.

None came. She sighed and began to pad away, her head low. A growl sounded from behind her and she stopped in mid-pawstep. She whipped around and stared at the newcomer, her blue-and-green-eyes flickering around, searching for others. As she saw no other dog nearby, she stood up, her neck straight. Her tail was beautifully curled, such as a Shiba Inu's , but longer. A smile wiped her maw and she licked her chops. This was her chance.
"Hello. Where is the wolf they call 'Darthyn'? she asked, her voice ringing out through the clearing. Theb she sat back on her haunches and waited, her muscles rippled beneath her fur as she shited, and the fading sunlight glinted of her platinum fur.

The ex-fighter stock did not change her appearance, she seemed to be froze in that aggressive stance as she kept her blue eyes fixed on the dog below her. She barked once, and flinched for the sound echoed in the deslote area. Darthyn is no wolf. Answer my question, now, who are you and what do you need with Darthyn?
She rounded down behind the rock, moving into the central area that the wolf-dog occupied. She kept her head low to the ground, teeth clearly visible in the fading light. She could now smell the distant remains of scented dog shampoo and she could affirm that this dog was indeed a pet. Here her growl extensified. Her lips continued to curl back, revealing the whole of her gumline.
((gah, sorry its so short >.<))

((Ah, tis fine. I'm not much of a long-poster either.)) She smiled again, and closed her eyes for a moment, taking in a breath. "We all are desendants of wolves, therefore we are all a little wolf, yes?" The calm expression on her visage remained, but in here eyes there was laughter, and she had expertly hidden her anxiety. "Now, now, lets not be to hasty." she remarked, seeing the other female getting angrier by the moment. "I seek to join your ranks as a stray. Seeing as I was actually born wild." As she finished, her eyes saddened, and she rememberd Ione's last words. "Ariana, take care, and join where you belong." A sigh escaped the old husky and she fixed her eyes to the forest before the became glazed and cloudy. The memory haunted her, and she shook herself to clear her mind. ((Of course, I'm one to speak. That post was kinda long, yes?))

The female raised her head up, looking the wolf-dog directly in the eye. Her black lips sheilded her teeth for a split moment of time and she stared at the dog in a strange curiousity. The past means nothing. If it held quality, then I am a killer. And I stand her before you, merciful.
She turned away from the wolf dog, walking off into a chasm of rock that lead to a lodge somewhere in the distance. She turned to her, motioning with her head. If the wolf-dog followed now, there would be no turning back. Her humans would no longer be an asset.
((shorrttttt....))

Ari hesitated, and stood there. She thought of her human, the thought of losing both his huskies in a weeks time. She shook her pelt and followed the dog, not even a word coming from her mouth. Her pelt rippled like silver water, dancing and swaying beneath the coming moonlight. The light bouced off her eyes, making them glimmer, and as she entered the chasm, moonrays penetrating the cracks, she seemed to be nothing but a water-beast, silently making her way through the gorge. ((Mine too... TT_TT))

The two females moved through the gorge silently, almost as if they had become part of the land itself. The wolf-dog was somewhat taller than Damacre, but was lighter-weight; and built for speed and stamina rather than power. The breeds that made up the champagne dog's bloodline were created for strength and endurance with a high tolerance for pain of all kinds. Perhaps this was how you could not easily catch on the turmoil churning inside the blue eyed dog.
I will take you to where Darthyn will meet with you, but do not expect a reply very quickly. He's somewhat reclusive. She said the words quietly, making her way over a rocky ledge and continuing on towards the lodge that was now visible. She turned back to the husky mix and spoke again, her words still cold and unnerving, Stay here, he will come when the time is right. Things have been hectic of late.
She clawed the dirt with her paw, smashing a bug beneath her foot as she looked back up at the other dog, wondering if she would be obedient. You still never gave me your name. She snapped, turning away from her as she took a look around the desolate land slowly.

Ariana perked one aud and pinned the other, a curious look dancing across her visage. "Ariana." she woofed, proud of her odd name.Of course, most dogs had odd names. "And yours?" she asked, sitting back on her haunches. Her mouth gaped in a yawn, showing her ivory fangs and almost blinding pink gums. Her toungue lolled to one side and she fixed her eyes on the other femmora.
