Penny walked down to the swirling lake. I havn't dranken in days... penny thought. She knew it was two dangerous to drink out of this lake, but she was very thristy!! Penny was willing to take chances! I'll give it a shot! after all, i am very thristy!!!
Penny bent her head down to drink... but *SPLASH!* the water overthrew her into the lake and down the whirlpool she went. then a current of water took her down... too a waterfall? oops penny thought. and she went down the waterfall.
Was this the end? Nope, looks like Penny made it down safely to the shore. She got up and walked to a patch of grass. I'm never... ever... doing that again. goodbye, swirling lake!! penny though. As she continued to walk... she saw a figure ahead of her. The fog from the waterfall bashing down wouldn't let her see much of this character... was it a dog?

A small figure burst out of the undergrowth, panting heavily. He stopped at the sight of the female, one of his own breed. He smiled sweetly and padded slowloy over to her, ears erect upon his head. His big brown eyes glittered brightly as he looked at her.
"Hello. I'm Rico." He said, his slight Spanish accent making the "R" in Rico lengthy and rolling, like a growl.

He smiled handsomely. "Jess," he said, meaning yes. "I hail from a place called Mexico Ceety." His accent was thick and suave, a feature only found in the Latinos. "Some people wanting to come to America found me and, for some reason, took me off the streets of Mexico and brought me to these streets. I don't know why, but I have to admeet, it is much nicer here."

Penny was happy that it seemed she made a new friend. "Yes, welcome to my hometown. I came from a petstore in Mexico, and for some reason, they shipped us all -me and my siblings- in a box over here. My siblings and i escaped the boxes when we were released into cages... and then we ran off towards the streets as fast as possible," Penny said.
