Realization

[Kato]

Sakura padded through the forest, bored with a full tummy. She was a little tired, but not tired enough to nap. She had eaten 2 rabbits, a particularly large meal for her. Sakura usually could have been full with one rabbit. She guessed she was just really hungry, even though she had eaten yesterday. She sighed and sat down on a pile of leaves. He stomach was larger than it had been about 2 weeks ago when she had met Kavok. It had swelled, and her nipples were larger. She concluded from looking down. Then, suddenly, realization struck her.

Was she pregnant with Kavok's pups? No it was impossible. She was to be in heat next week, right? Or was it last week? She gasped. It was definetly last week. She sighed. I deserve this. she thought. She shouldn't have done what she did. Sakura didn't regret meet Kavok, just she thought she went to far.

Sakura sighed and picked herself up. She began walking towards the nesting hollow, more importantly, the nursery. She entered the hidden hollow. She loved it so much. It was such a great hiding place. She walked past a few dogs and entered the nursery. One dog was surprised at her. "Oi! Why are you going in there?" He asked her. "I'm pregnant." she said weakley.

When she laid down on a moss-laiden nest. She realized that this was good. She had alwasy wanted a family. This was her chance. She knew that everything happened for a reason, and there must be a reason for this. Perhaps I will be a good mother! she thought happily. She would, she definetly would.

Kitty looked up at the fae entered, her brown eyes curious. She’d seen the femme before, but made no move to socialize with her. She watched her, feeling stupid as she lay on her side. She shifted slightly, shifting to a more comfortable position. Just as she got comfortable, the smaller of the two pups began pawing at her stomach. Sighing, she moved back over onto her side.

Finally deciding to speak, she looked back up at the other dog. “I’m Kitty.” She said, finding that that was all she could really say. She wasn’t one to start up a big conversation. Guessing by her belly, the femme must have just found out, and judging by the look on her face, it was unplanned.

Her curiosity getting the better of her, she decided to speak again: “Who’s the father?” she asked, wondering if it was Thorn. It could be, seeing as he had a mission. She began to wish she had not asked, mainly because it wasn't her buisness. She hated noseiness and she wouldn't want to become one of those dogs.

Sakura noticed the fae with two pups, knowing that would be her in a month-and-a-half or so. She sighed and shifted a little. sakura didn't know if she would be a good mother. Afterall, she was still pretty young. Why did she have to meet Kavok? Why did he have to be so wonderfully handsome and cute and everything?

"Hello Kitty, I'm Sakura." she said quietly. Boy those pups were cute little balls of fur. She couldn't help but be excited. She, Sakura, would be a mom. it was the most exciting feeling in the world, and sakura was looking forward to the day from that moment on. She glanced down for a moment towards her stomach. Sighing for one more time she laid her head on her paws.

"Oh.. Umm... A pet. His name is Kavok." there, she said it. Sakura had just admitted she was pregnant with a housepet's pups. She was afraid that she would be booted from the pack because of who she mated with.

Kitty nodded, sighing a bit, perhaps in relief. Of course, Thorn wasn't her mate or anything, but she felt a slight something for him. The dog seemed nervous, or something along the lines of what she had felt. She looked at her, gaze sympathetic.

"Don't worry. I thought I was going to be a terrible mom." she said, hoping to sooth her somewhat. What was she to say? She had never gotten any female encouragement when she was pregnant. But it had all worked out in the end.

Thorn was spending more time with her, and it wasn't awkward. Sure, they hadn't really talked about it, but they had the pups to worry about. "How far along are you? " she asked, curious. She wasn't too big, so she couldn't be more than a week or two.

One of the pups squealed, feeling around for his mother blindly. She gave him a lick on the head, feeling proud.She'd never thought she's have pups, or be a good mother.

Ariana trotted into the clearing, humming gleefully. She had missed the 'Kavok' part of what she said, so she continued on, her fur matted with Kavoks black fur and drenched in his scent. She sat down a few fox-lengths away from Sakura.

What's going on-oh! Congratulations Sakura! Who's the father?

she asked, not knowing the answer would break her heart.

Kitty looked up, startled at the appearance of Ariana. Who the hell was this dog? She had just been getting used to Sakura, whom she quite liked, and now there was another one. She stared at Ariana, suspicious in her eyes. She snorted, before turning her head to look at the wall.

It wasn't that she wanted to be unfriendly or anything, but this dog has just like appeared out of no where and expected her talk. She sighed, licking the bigger pup on the head and it began to fell asleep. The smaller one was still fussing bit after licking him for a few moments, he too quickly fell asleep.

She turned her head back, not looking at Ariana. Looking at Sakura, she felt slightly bad. It was obvious that she was nervous, and that it was unplanned. But the pack needed pups, unless they wanted to eventually vanish.

Kitty actually liked having another fae in the nursery, one that was worth talking two. But another one, to her, made it seem like a crowd. She gave her paw a lick, staring at the ground.

Sakura grinned weakley as she heard Kitty say how she thought when she was Sakura's position. Sakura didn't think she was going to be a bad mom, but was she going to be able to teach these pups everything they needed to know about the big bright world? Afterall, Sakura was young herself. Two and a half was incredibly young to become a mother in Sakura's eyes. But she would manage.

"Oh, only a couple of weeks." she said, answering Kitty's question. Sakura really couldn't remeber when she had met Kavok. It seemed like a million years ago. She didn't want to think about Kavok. He wouldn't be happy with her like this. Kavok didn't want a family. He only wanted a female around. Still, Sakura had feelings for him. Even though the more she thought about it they were pretty oposite.

Sakura watched Arainia enter the Nursery. She was getting uncomfortable. It was a small place, and it was feeling a bit crouded with a dog standing up in the middle of the floor. She sank to the back of the nest, head between her paws. it was very warm in the Nursery with so many bodies. Sakura wished her coat wasn't so fluffy in the Summer. She was one of the few dogs who didn't shed a lot. It irked her, she was always panting.

"Oh. Well, he's a pet. You probably don't know him. His name is Kavok." she said, answering Araina's question about who sired the pups. her eyes flickered back to her stomach were she did look a little bloated. She looked up at Kitty, who didn't seem to pleased about Araina's appearance in the Nursery. She didn't mind Araina, but she was hoping to relax a little. She sighed, barley noticable, and rolled over onto her back. She looked up at the ceiling of the Nursery.
