ooc // This time I'm gonna do the gathering a bit differently. No one has to reply. I'm sorry for the slight power playing. If you have a problem, PM me.

As he stood there atop that grubby old couch, looking down at all of those eager faces, Darthyn could think of nowhere else he'd rather be. He was destined to lead this pack to victory, to greatness. He cast a long glance to his right, where Akira sat, her ebony fur groomed to perfection. Darthyn could almost imagine he noticed a slight buldge in her belly, which made his stomach flutter, but it was much too early to tell. He smiled at her, showing his gratitude and affection.
Then, he looked to his left. There sat Thorn, Rico, Damacre, Wednesday, and Loch, his most trusted warriors. Giving them each a brief nod, he turned his attention back to the mass of canines that spanned out before him. The last Gathering had been much smaller, and now the dogs hardly fit into the room all together. Needless to say, Darth was quite proud of his pack.
"Brothers and sisters!" He barked, his amber eyes glowing with pride and purpose. "I have summoned this Gathering on the account of many things." He growled, loud enough for the pack to hear. He had been thinking a lot lately, and the news of the twolegs' disappearance had gotten his mind working overtime. What would that mean for his pack? Would the domestics overrun them because they lacked food and water? He intended for nothing of the sort to take place, and he had come up with a plan.
"The twolegs of Harlow have disappeared. There is no one left." When the pack's muffled cries rose above his voice, he paused for a moment and let the maelstrom die down. "Now that the town is abandoned, I propose we claim it for our own! There is bound to be tons of food for everyone, food and shelter from the elements. True, there are domestic dogs that may stand in our way, but they are mere lap dogs! They cannot stop us!" He growled, his voice ringing with pure ambition, eyes burning with his hunger for power and domination. "The town as well as the forest and all beyond it, will be OURS!"
As his voice died down, the crowd of dogs let out many raucous cries, each voicing his own opinion, but each full of excitement and ambition, just like their leader. When the racket ceased, the alpha cleared his throat to speak again.
"And if there is to be fighting, there is sure to be deaths. I do not think the domestic dogs are weak, but they are not a pack and they will be easier to take down. However, some of us may be killed or injured, which is why I have decided that I must have an heir. If I die, I will need someone to take my place, so I have impregnated Akira, though she is not my mate. She will give me my heir, a strong and healthy dog who will one day come to rule the entire town of Harlow!"
As he finished, he threw back his head and sent out a soft, deep howl, a sound so haunting yet so beautiful that it could put one to sleep and wake one up from the deepest of slumbers. The rest of the pack soon joined in, each of them adding their own melody to the symphony.
United we stand, now and forever.
