Akira padded slowley through the forest. Her head drooped. It had been a long day. Hunting and searching. You could see the exhaustion in her eyes as she walked the familiar path through the redwood. She dragged herself to her nest. The one she knew so well. She circled inside it three times before finally settling down for the night. Suprisingly enough she couldn't fall asleap. She laid there with her head up and eyes flashing about. She knew others would come.
Her mind kept falling back to Darthyn. What was she to do about him. They were good friends, and if she told him how she felt that could change for the worse. What if he didn't feel the same? But what if she did tell him and he liked her the same way. It was all so confusing. She knew she couldn't keep it bottled up forever. [/size]

The nesting grounds were dark and smelled strongly of other dogs and puppies. There was a faint smell of birth as well, and she assumed this doubled as a pupping area. Inside, it was nearly empty, as Damacre noticed upon entry. She stood in the opening of the massive tree searching for a dark corner to claim as her own for the time being. Making her way slowly across the dirt floor, she chose the furthest possible area, and settled herself down, keeping her eye on the other dog inside.
The amstaff-pit mix had never been part of an organized pack, she roamed the streets alone from the day she'd escaped the two-leggers. Her past with humans had been terribly unpleasant, and with lack of proper socialization and love, what was a happy, devoted puppy turned into a cold, untrusting adult. Dog catchers had a particular eye out for breeds ignorantly deemed 'dangerous', and Dama just so happened to look like one of those particular dogs. She had finally decided that it was in her best interest to join the pack of strays, underneath the infamous Darthyn as their leader. She sighed lightly, laying her head between her paws.
How long have you been here? She asked, looking at the wall on the far side of the area. It seemed to be directed at no one imparticular, but there was only one other in the room with her: Akira.

Akira watched as the Female walked in and laid down. She looked feirce, in a way. But Akira couldn't quite understand it. Afterall, Akira didn't think of herself as feirce. She was just a normal stray female bachelorete. She snapped back to reality when the fae spoke. Akira had been here since the pack started. Thats why she sat on the couch by Darthyn at the meeting. Besides Rico she was th most trusted member in the pack.
"Since the pack was created." she said, sighing after she spoke. She yawned, making a squeeking noise as she did so. "So, whats your name?" she asked flatley.

Damacre raised her blocky head up to look at the dog, who finally answered after a long moment of silence. So she must have been one of the first members that Darthyn claimed for himself. She could only barely see the outline of the other dog in the dark, but when she finally stirred a bit she came into full view.
I'm Damacre. She sighed, a deep exhale, The people I once lived with had a son who was a...Ah... Dungeons and Dragons fanatic or something... Some pathetic human pup game, and apparently my name was henceforth brought up... Anyway... I am new here, all in all. You are a warrior, I've noticed. How did you come upon the title?
She snarled the words regarding humans, prefering that her strange name came about just out of her mother's mouth or she chose it herself. Her mother never spoke in a full sentance, just broken repetitions... Sad creature, she was. But Damacre missed her.

Name's Akira. Yup just Akira." she said. Akira never really wondered about her name. It had always been just Akira. She really didn't care where it came from, all that mattered was that it was her's. Her's and no one elses. AKira didn't know how she became a warrior, but Darthyn told her she was at the gathering, so aparently she was a warrior.
"I guess it was because I stayed loyal through all of the rough times. Trust me, there has been some rough times." Akira said, oblivious to the fact things were about to get rougher.

In a flash of ginger and white fur, Luna, a pretty Husky female with long, flowing fur, ran across the clearing and halted before her mentor. Grinning, she sat down, chest out, unmatching eyes eager and bright.
"Reporting for duty, Akira!" She yelped, eying her mentor happily. er eye shone with unbridled excitement. "Are you ready to go on that hunt you promised me?" She was nearly bouncing out of her skin.
the adolescent was so excited that she hardly registered the large dog standing a ways away. Widening her eyes, she looked over, and her blue and brown gaze was met by one that screamed dominance. Looking the amstaff-type dog over, she grinned wearily and her ears drooped.
"Oh, excuse me, I'm sorry." She looked back to Akira, whose soft, beautiful gaze was sympathetic, as always. "Have I interrupted anything, Akira?" She asked, hoping that she hadn't. The caramel colored newcomer did not look like a dog that Luna wished to mess with.

Akira smilled as the little Trainee ran in, of full of energy. Akira as feeling the exact opposite. She was so tired after a long day. But she had promised, and did not ant to seem like a bad mentor. She slowley rose to a standing position. Akira sighd and looked at her little Trainee. "Well, I did promise." she admitted. But Luna wasn't onterupting anything. Sh was simply meeting a nw member. Akira had a rsbonsibilty to Luna, and Damacre should understand that.
"It's okay Luna. I promised you a hunt. A promise is a promise." she said, glancing over at the new member. She stepped out of her nest and looked hard at Luna. "Where would the best place to hunt be at this time?" she asked Luna. Luna nded to know this important answer. The answer, of coarse, was the Web Forest. She hoped she knew so she would seem like a good Mentor infront of Damacre.

Luna's unmatching eyes lit up at the mutt's words, and her tail began to wag ferociously. Resisting the urge to jump with joy, she planted her rump on the ground, hoping that it wouldn't begin bouncing on its own accord. With a quick glance at Damacre, Luna smiled proudly and turned back to Akira, her chest puffed out and ears erect.
"The...Web Forest?" She ventured, tilting her head to see if she was correct. When a small smile lit up her mentor's face, Luna wagged her tail happily and looked back to Damacre, hoping she saw what a good job Luna had done. Then, as Akira stayed silent, Luna knew she must explain why the Web Forest was the best choice. Taking in a deep breath, she began,
"'Cause um...more day-sleepers live there 'cause of the thick foliage to hide and forage in. And they'll be out at this time, I think," She said, referring to the small nocturnal animals that lived in the Web Forest. "And also 'cause owls can't see them as well with all the trees and shrubs, so they won't get eaten as often, right Akira, right?" She grinned, confident that her answer was indeed right.
