I’m an AKC worthy street
Yips echoed through the vacant streets as the playful year old Catahoula Leopard Dog jumped up, snapping her jaws at a brightly colored butterfly. She chased that butterfly all the way to the woods, where she stopped and glanced around. She’d been so absorbed in her chase she had no idea where she was now. Sighing she walked down the streets that were unusually empty, those large hover boxes were all placed in the middle of the road; or crashed together, making it look somewhat like a Si-Fi film where zombies would appear in the midst of her looking around. A small huff exited her pinkish lips as she wandered towards the distinct smell of strays.
Rhythmic clicking of her nails against pavement seemed to be the only noises as she wandered down the abandoned city streets, hiding behind cars as dogs went flying by. She didn’t want to get seen! What if they’d hurt her? Though Callisto still strived to have attention and be alphess, her current stage of mind sent her into the omega position with ease, now it was time to find this stray pack, she’d heard of it. A tiny spy of information, she’d been pretending to be asleep when she heard two elders of her pack talking about a Harlow, how people were disappearing and how they thought the strays would rise up once more, over the pets and rule the entire city. There was no doubt in Callisto’s mind that she wanted to be around the strays when this happened; IF it happened that was.
Sighing softly she continued her way down the road; following her uniquely colored nose down to specific stray scents. She followed those scents past a huge gorge, glancing inside every now and again as she continued her quest, feeling slightly ill at ease with the major drop she’d face if she fell into the gorge. With that thought the female trotted away from the lip of the gorge a good five or so feet before following the scents of the strays.
After about thirty minutes of entering Harlow, chasing a butterfly, hiding from dogs, tracking strays, finding a gorge, and tracking strays once more; the female finally saw a rundown lodge. It reminded her of a large country club she’d past on her way to Harlow. She let out a small sigh and continued forward. Her nose pressed against the thin decomposing walls of the lodge to sniff if anyone was inside. Backing up empty-pawed she clambered towards the door and nosed it open. Looking around inside with her unique face the female strolled inside. Glancing around for the alpha or a member of sorts.
Lifting her maw into the air slightly, a howl erupted from her somewhat pursed lips. Her howl was deep compared to her voice, making her sound burly and very intimidating. Though whomever came expecting a muscle mutt, would be in for a surprise when they turned the corner and saw this beautiful female with a charming melodic talking tone. Hopefully someone would answer the bid for acceptance.

ooc // I hate joining threads, as you know, and I'm running low on muse, so please excuse the crappiness.
Thorn's eyes shot open as a howl sounded from behind him. Getting up quickly from his place on the couch, teeth bared in defense, he searched the Lodge for the source of the sound. In the center of the room was a mottled-looking young dog, though she was rather pretty. His ears, which had been laying flat against his head, pricked forward curiously. He would've attacked her if she weren't such a doll. Raising a brow, he nimbly leaped off the loveseat and rounded it to come face to face with the bonny canine. She seemed lost, as if she were looking for something. Was the Lodge that something? If so, she had found it.
"Greetings," he crooned, his voice deep and melodic, as if he were almost teasing her. "I am Thorn, warrior, guard, and hunter of the stray dog society. State your business, fae." He barked, amber eyes glistening with mischief and pride as he announced his title.

Callisto
Callisto was standing happily; tail high and wagging, he ears perked her neck held in a faux dominance state. As she heard the male round the corner she cocked her head to the side, her eyes looking him over. My my was he handsome. A small smile found it’s way onto her pink lips. She let out a small whine of a plea as she saw his defensive, dominate stance. She crouched low, and tucked her tail between her legs, her neck drooping in a noticeable state of submission. Though as he spoke she glanced up from beneath her brow; watching him with a slight curiosity, so he wasn’t the alpha? State your business fae? Jesus how rude, she would have snapped at him and taught him the basis of common courtesy but her better judgment thankfully won, and she stayed down but moved up so she wasn’t in such a submissive state; yet still placing herself below Thorn.
Her eyes glanced him over a few more times as she decided what to say,
“I am Callisto, vagabond, looking for a pack, and is secretly a cannibal.” She said sarcasm high in her tone; she clamped her jaws shut with a loud snap to get the point across that she was a ‘cannibal’. Though obviously she was joking for her tail began to wag and her paws lifted in happiness, a smile finding it’s way onto her once serious-business face.

Thorn watched her curiously as she cowered below him, then decided that a more confident approach was needed, and place herself just below him on the ranks. He lifted one brow, his amber eyes searching hers for any hint of treachery. Suddenly, as if he had been hit by a truck, he remembered the hunting party that he was scheduled to attend with Darthyn and Wednesday. He didn't have much time.
"Oh, I see." He chuckled, amused by her antics. "A cannibal, eh?" He tilted his head, his eyes dancing playfully. "You know, cannibalism is frowned upon in most societies, Callisto." He paused to give her a long, hard stare, his eyes unwavering and stern. "Thankfully, this isn't one of those societies." Just as he knew she was joking about eating other canines, he hoped she'd know that he too was fibbing. Do you come seeking a home, or do you want to sit around and chat all day?""

Callisto
Callisto let out a soft giggle,
“Exactly why I made the journey here, watch out I think I’m a bit hungry.” She said with a wide smile, winking playfully in his direction. She watched him with curious eyes still, he was a rather fun dog to be around, in her opinion that was. He seemed that he could be frighteningly serious; yet treacherously sarcastic at other times. As he tried to dismiss her she nodded, he seemed ready to go somewhere; so he was a love ‘em and leave ‘em kind of guy? Oh lord, if Callisto only knew.
She sighed, “I’d like to have a bit more chat, maybe over some tea and crumpets.” She joked with a small giggle, “But yea, I’d love to stay at this fine establishment.” She mused looking around the battered and broken lodge. It was a nice place to stay if you were used to having headquarters be in the sewers like she was. Egh, it stunk so badly down there. Yet she seemed to be the only one to notice back then; it was a sure sign that she wasn’t suited for that pack. Thank god she left.

Thorn grinned amusedly at her. He liked this fae already. She was easy to be around and very intelligent and witty. And she wasn't hard to look at either. Casting a nervous gaze at the sun's position in the sky, Thorn panicked. He had to go. Soon.
"Callisto, I have to go to a hunting party with the alpha now, if you want to come you may." He paused for a second, debating which way would take the least time to get to the Glade. He could either go through the Web Forest or through Crystal Gorge. Casting aside the pending decision, he continued, "Or you can simply go to the Nesting Hollow and get acquainted with the other members."

Callisto
Callisto smiled; listening to his words and gingerly lifting her own eyes to gaze into the sky, where Thorn had looked. Great, it was nearly twilight. A couple of hours to dusk that was, sighing she turned her eyes back to Thorn. He wasn’t half bad in the facial department; he looked a bit old though old age added to the wise-ness factor now didn’t it?
Smiling she let out a deeper than normal chuckle, of course she intended it to sound partially evil, and burly like her howl happened to be. Thankfully it came evil, and burly! Score! She looked him over, wiggling her eyebrows and squinting her eyes.
“Why I might turn on a dog and bite off its leg, but sure. Hunting for dogs, err other animals that aren’t dogs is my specialty.” She said making it sound like she really was going to eat a dog. Oh thank god for her good comical skills.
