Kitty limped to the territory, unusually nervous. She was now a free dog and figured that it would be best to join the pack. She shuffled her paws nervously, unsure of what to do
She couldn't just waltz into the territory and risk getting killed. She sat down, placing her weight on her right side, where she had not been bitten. Perhaps the alpha would come out, sometime, and then she could ask.'This does mean I'm going to have to learn to listen, and learn to do orders. But, maybe here I'll find a mate' she thought nervously.
She had wandered several days, before finally deciding to seek approval to join. Her ribs were not yet sticking out in the sickly manner, as some dogs do, but they were sticking out. Of course, they always did. She sighed, still unsure as to what to do. She couldn't very well sleep. She knew that if she was caught on the pack's territory, she could be killed, and it would be rightful. Not that it would matter, she had no one looking for her. However, once you enter someone else's land, especially when you are unfamiliar to it, your fate rests with them. She heaved another sigh, wishing the alpha was here. That was she could get it over with and either be on her way, or enter her new home.
She heaved, but another sigh. Since the leader wasn't coming out, that must mean that she herself was supposed to as for him or the 2nd in command, if they had one. She winced, worried for her safety. 'You are acting like a pup! Just go and get it over with' She scolded herself.
She slowly walked into the territory and found where she assumed the alpha's den was. She stood in front of it and softly called "I request an audience, with the alpha...please." she said, saying the last part rather lightly. She briskly licked her chest and sat neatly in front of the den, panting slightly.
{Sorry for the very ugly and very short post}

ooc // No worries, I HATE joining posts so mine will be equally as crappy, if not worse.
Their hushed voices died down as soon as the scent hit their noses. Ears pricked and eyes alert, the two large wolf-like dogs began to trot toward it. The taller of the two, a lithe, dark canine with a white face and underbelly, streaked with renegade black hairs, opened his mouth to taste the air. He looked to his companion, a slightly shorter, but much more heavily muscled male with lighter gray fur and piercing amber eyes. Nodding, the two separated.
The taller, thinner male, who looked more wolf than dog, trotted around a large sycamore while his strong, stocky companion veered to the side and struggled through a thicket of brambles. It was the darker dog that saw her first, standing there in the clearing near a vacant badger's den that he had found his friend napping in yesterday. She probably thought that since the alpha's scent was on it, that it was his den. However, the smell of badger was much too putrid for even the toughest dog to handle for more than a day. Wrinkling his nose, the tall, thin shadow of a dog crept up to her, head and tail erect. He drew in a deep breath and tasted her fear scent mingled with the scent of Twolegs. He lifted his upper lip in the beginnings of a snarl.
A second later, his growl was interrupted by the muscular dog he had been with a moment earlier. The darker canine noticed his leader's piercing amber eyes glinting with curiosity.
"Well what do we have here?" Crooned the tall, thin brute, his own chocolate-colored orbs dancing with pleasure as he sized up with pretty female.
"Stay calm Thorn, keep your tongue in your jaws, we are in the presence of a lady," The stocky male replied before their guest could speak. The amusement on his face showed that he knew what a sucker his friend could be for pretty girls. At this, Thorn, the tall wolf-like dog, shot him a defiant glare, but kept his gleaming eyes trained on the female.
"I apologize for my companion, miss, he seems to have forgotten his manners." breathed the large, well-built male. He dipped his muzzle for a moment, in greeting, before resuming his dominant stance. "I am Darthyn, leader of the strays." He stated simply, not wanting to waste time on pleasantries.
"And as you have heard, I am Thorn," spoke the dark, handsome brute beside the alpha. He, too, dipped his head in greeting.

Her head shot up, and she winced, her shoulder beginning to pain her terribly. She bowed her head, then looked back up at the two brutes. "Don't fret. I am not offended easily." She said softly, looking at the flirtatious brute. ' She sighed, knowing she might as well get to why she was here.
"I've heard from other street dogs that if you'd like to join a pack, you must talk to the leader. So i wandered for a few days and finally made it here. So...May I." She said, looking directly at Darthyn.
It was then that she looked back up at Thorn and really looked at him. 'He's quite attractive' she though to herself. Then, she looked back up at the alpha and waited for his answer.

The alpha trained his amber eyes on her, studying her intently. Her fear-scent had subsided, probably because of Thorn's very friendly greeting. His friend was a bit too friendly, Darthyn thought. But it was all for the best, as Thorn had been given a very important task.
Considering her words, the steel-gray male nodded. "Yes, I suppose so. You seem to be in good health, and judging by that injury on your shoulder, you must be a fighter. That's good." He smiled casually at her, then shot a glance at Thorn and then returned his gaze to the Bulldog.
"We need dogs like you. In time, I'm sure you will make a good warrior." Turning back to Thorn, he tilted his head and said in an amused tone, "You can show, uhm..." He faltered about to suggest that Thorn show her the Nesting Hollow but realized she hadn't told him her name, then he looked to the female again. "What is your name?"

Her tail wagged slightly, pleased. She nodded gratefully and listened to him speak. But, when he asked for her name she looked back down. "Kitty." She said, avoiding eye contact.
It had never fun telling other dogs her name. Most of the time she was ridiculed and it resulted in her fight. And as some knew, if you got into a fight with an American Bulldog, someone was going to die. She wasn't exactly proud of it either.
She looked back up at him. 'Hopefully he won't force me out' she thought, rather anxiously. She had had that happen to her before.

Darthyn raised a brow. "Interesting." He said, simply staring at her. He could sense her embarrassment. Looking to Thorn, he tilted his head again.
"Why don't you show Kitty the Nesting Grounds, Thorn?" Darthyn raised both brows this time and gave his friend a surreptitious wink.

She easily sensed Darthyn's amusement. But it was not of great importance. She would prove that she was fit to be a warrior. She shuffled a bit, unsure of what to say. She turned slightly, giving her shoulder a lick. Her white and brindle fur, luckily, wasn't too dirty. Not like some dogs, where they looked tan or grey. Kitty looked back up at Thorn, waiting.
