Angel yawned softly, baring her still perfect white fangs. She felt like she was Queen of the world right now, a whole world spread out at her paws. She felt like she could do anything, especially with that breeze running through her silver, black and white fur. Either that or she was in a good mood because she found a huge hunk of turkey in a garbage can. Whichever she was still in the most wonderful of moods. With her head held high and her ears perked she looked from side to side in the twilight lit dirt road.
Her bi-colored eyes rested on tracks in the dirt, showing there were other strays about. This didn’t surprise or scare her. It just…Intrigued her. She wanted to find some strays that would accompany her. Not necessarily a pack. She didn’t like the idea of having some alpha pair bossing her around and making her wait for good pickings of food. However if all she could find was a pack, she would probably not refuse. Grudging accept it if they would her, however she wouldn’t be pleased.
With those thoughts dampening her happy mood she trotted up the road. She hoped she’d find CLEAN shelter. Somewhere with a bed would be nice. Or at least no dirt. She grumbled to herself and muttered softly ”You are such a house dog…". She knew she wasn’t completely stray yet. She kind of missed her human and bed. However she liked this freedom just a little more. The lack of beds however displeased her a lot.
Her nose told her of cows and pigs nearby. She knew that already, there were farms all over the place. Something in her made her want to jump in every sheep pen she saw. She thought it was instinct and remembered her mother telling her that she was to be a champion herder. Well that didn’t work out now did it? I was a champion all right, however it was only beauty contests She thought bitterly. However some of the bitterness was forced. She liked being pretty and she knew she was pretty. However she had always wanted a more active and exciting life. Something her human never gave her.
Angel’s ears flared up at the sound of paws patting. She looked around to see another dog behind her, one that had snuck up on her without her knowing it. She stared at it, her legs tense if she needed to run.
