Angel stopped walking along the road as the scent of many dogs. Her nose lifted to the air and bi-colored eyes grew curious. She still hadn’t met any of the strays she smelled but wanted to know where she was. She started toward the scent and wasn’t surprised to see a dog park. There were lots of dogs playing with humans, other dogs or by themselves. She didn’t know how these housepets would treat her but she’d been travelling for a while and hadn’t a clue where she was. So with that in mind she snuck toward the park.
She got in without drawing any looks (at least none she saw) and decided to just act like a pet while she was here. None of the dogs gave her a second look but she still felt out of place and was feeling uncomfortable around the humans. She walked through the grass for a dog that seemed to look kind and more than once got a pat on her head from some human and a comment on ‘what a pretty dog you are,’.
She perked her ears and sat down by herself under a tree, looking around. Now which one to ask…. She thought, her tail wagging slowly.

As soon as the clip had gone off her collar, Ratook had slipped away into the hidden areas that she seemed to occupy. It was all herself there, and she managed to weave around without grabbing any attention, wich was odd. She was rather pregnant, and her head bobbed when she walked. The girl licked her lips, tail flickering for a moment, then her head raised.
This one...looked like a stray. She snuck in, obviously not as good as Rat herself was. She could seem to vaporize into the darkness and back out at any moment. Or the light, for that matter...
Her head raised, Rat's nostrils flared. She stalked behind the stray, her lips curled up in contempt. She wanted to be one of them, but she was stuck as this...and then she snuck off to the side.
Rat would emerge to the left of Angel, and speak in the typical Ratook fashion: blunt. "Lost? Looking for something? Cause you look like a stray, no offense. But you do." What went unsaid was that she probably was a stray.
Rat didn't care.

Cupid was let off the leash, finally. That thin-black rope irked him to no end. He hated it when the human pups always tugged on it. Did they think it was funny to choke him to death? He glanced back as the humans dug through a bag for a frisbie. But he didn't play frisbie, he had buisness to attend to. You see, Cupid made it his job to matchmake, and that was kinda hard if everyone you knew was already matched. So he would busy himself with meeting all the ther dogs. He scampered off before a little boy grabbed his collar.
Cupid found himself facing two females. One was a stray, and the other was heavily pregnant. Ah well... he thought. He might as well intruduce himself, afterall, you never know who's found a soulmate!
"Ello ladies! Names Cupid, and yours?" he said casually. [/size]

Rat's tail flicked nonchalantly, her muzzle lifted slightly. "Rattook. Owners don't like the way I look. You can call me Ratty." There was a shrug brought to her canid form, shifting back. Her head lifted slightly towards the sky. "Blech, I hate leashes."
She was trying to restrain her Tourettes. She had this incredible urge to repeat what he had just said, so she began to tap her paw as an alternate route. Otherwise, well...not fun.
Anyhow, he'd mock her.
Her head swung back towards the stray. "So...you lookin' for an owner, or you just wanna get jumped by a jerk of a male?" The joke was heavy in the air, and by the way Rat's tail wagged it was obvious she was kidding.
GO FIGURE, neh?
