"Go get it boy!" A small girl shouted as she threw a tennis ball.
Harley was busy attempting to climb a tree and go after a squirrel. He barked, frustrated with himself. Seeing the ball, he ran full speed. Reaching approximately 25MPH. Harley was very fast. He gripped hold on the ball, which happened to be very close to the unlocked entrance gate. He stared at it longingly for a few moments, and bolted back to his family. He dropped the ball at their feet and trotted back towards the now locked gate. He sat and stared at it for a moment. I want to be free... He thought to himself.

The gentle wind whisked her lengthy fur about delicately, creating an aura of serenity and grace, which the Saluki constantly emenated. The scenery only amplified the effect. Amber eyes searched the vast expanse of green, looking for any familiar faces. No such luck. Meadow shrugged. She'd just make new friends.
Jill maneuvered her awkward old body through the front gate and Meadow trotted in behind her owner, delicate cranium held proudly aloft. She eyed the rather handsome German Shepherd who was playing fetch with a young human. Meadow smirked arrogantly and sauntered past him with a sly, yet seductive grin. As Jill took a seat on a green park bench, Meadow trotted slowly past the male, her amber eyes trailing along him like molasses. She sat carefully on the concrete next to her owner, slightly curled tail wagging slowly.

Harley sighed as he watched the gate, having flashbacks to his days as a stray. Suddenly, his eyes fell upon a beautiful Saluki. He trotted rather handsomely towards her, with a devilish grin on his maw. He looked her over. He loved the color of her fur.
"Heeeeey pretty lady. You're too pretty to be on this side of town, ain't ya?" He said charmingly.

The female tilted her head, playing dumb so that her human didn't catch on that they were actually having an intelligent conversation. She knew the Shepherd would understand this tactic, no doubt he used it also. She wagged her tail ferociously and tossed her head, pretending as if she wanted to play, but the look in her eyes was that of an actress playing a role. She scampered off to a remote corner, hoping the male would follow, so that they could speak without being thought of as strange by the two-legs.
Once there, she lay down under an oak sapling and began to lick her paws gingerly, a smug look on her face. She waited for him to sit down and get comfortable before she would begin speaking. She was a lady, afterall.

Harley grinned. You've snapped the trap, Har. He grinned and pranced towards her. He looked her over. "You sure you aren't in the wrong dog park? A show class girl like you should be hanging in the high class neighborhoods, not this little middle class suburb. The name is Harley, whatabout you?" He tilted his head to the side, and sat down in front of her. "I've never seen a breed like yours, what are ya? I'm a shepherd mix.".

The dog scoffed, tossing her head to the side to rid her eyes of some renegade hairs from her ears that had deviated there and were bugging her.
"My human likes to take long walks." Her voice was soft and silky, like molasses. "So we end up here." She bent her neck regally into an arch and proceeded to licking her legs and paws. She was very clean.
"And honestly. I'm a Saluki." She smirked proudly and arrogantly. "Pure bred, in fact. My parents were both Best in Shows multiple times and I, myself have earned the title twice."
