She was fast and smart, but she was also humble, very humble. She laid down, facing him. She imedietly became lost in his eyes, trying to name all the colors in them, they were wonderful... Akira snapped back to reality.

"You really think so? Well, whatever you say." Akira said, not believing it. Akira really was tired, even though she had no reason to be. And the wet ground felt cool on her dark skin. She sighed.

Darthyn nodded, his amber eyes wandering over to the opening in the wooden fence that led to the sreet. It wasn't safe out there during the day, with all those two-legs. He snorted, rolling his eyes.

"I do." He smiled fleetingly, his attention elsewhere. "But I must go now, lot's of things to erm...attend to." He nodded to her again, this time in farewell, and trotted off, out into the sight of the humans.

Akira watched him go. She loved the way his fur moved when he walked, and the way he could keep pace all day without getting tired. He was so amazing, but she knew he would probably only want her as a best friend. She loved him, but there was no way he would ever ask her. Or so she thought.

"Okay, bye!" Akira called after him. She padded out the opposite end of the ally, heading for the forest. She was hungry for some fresh-kill, garbage didn't usually apeal to her anyway. She glanced back at Ali, who had just stood there the whole time. "Odd." she muttered to herself. Akira gathered speed and raced off down an abandoned human trail.
