It's alright. Good enough for the master's living purposes. But dear canines, the garden desperately needs some work.
Cleopatra stood in all her glory in the middle of the front yard, as numerous human workers carried various (and expensive, mind you) things into the house. Her golden pelt shone in the midday sun as her yellow eyes surveyed the new house. Her human was inside directing the workers to their places. She wrinkled her nose. The damp, revolting scent of sweat of these common humans were sickening. But she had to stand guard watching them. The master entrusted her this responsibility.
A worker was eying her as he drank water and took a break. When Cleopatra noticed him, she growled deep in her chest, baring her fangs and flatting her erect ears. Keep your eyes down commoner! I don't like that look in your eyes. The man choked on his water in surprise, and warily warned his fellow workers about her. The Fae sniffed in satisfaction.
Good Job Cleo. Watch them good for me alright? cooed her master as she walked past the dog into her car. Cleopatra panted happily and wagged her tail, giving her master the look of adoration. I'll be right back guys! Just going to get some pizza for all of you! The workers answered back with their thanks as the bitch narrowed her eyes. Oh, how naive her master was. She really was unnecessarily kind to these commoners.

She floated about the yard, weaving through the legs of the humans, exploring. Her whip-like tail was high in the air as she lowered her nose to inspect the scents. She needed to know the yard well and it's secrets to effectively secure and protect it. Using her keen vision of a sight hound, her light orbs darted about the yard, before settling on an unnatural shadow in the bush.
Her hackles bristled and she narrowed her eyes. The shadow was too suspicious. Her tail drooped slightly when she realized with a shock that it was an impossibly large brute. A stray. A monster. She felt dread and disgust. A stray...in her territory?! How could she have missed him?! She must have been upwind to not have noticed his scent. Like she had to one of the common humans, she curled her lips and bared her whites. She lowered her head and widened her stance, standing her ground. When she brought her yellow eyes met his directly and she froze...
... ... ...
Her heart fluttered for the first time with fear.

Her fear was quickly forgotten when he growled at her. Cleopatra's vain personality got the better of her. Did he just growl at me? A stray? She overlooked his rather obvious and dangerous warning and offended, the Pharaoh Hound barked. Get off my ground! Go back to the garbage that you call home! How dare you defile my territory with your pre---
Hey guys! I'm back. Where's Cleo? The golden hound's chiseled head spun around to the owner of the voice. She huffed. What timing...
She faced the brute before her with a growl. Leave. And she loped back to her master looking as if nothing had happened. Her master set the boxes of pizza on the ground to greet her with vigorous patting. The human faced where the Fae had come from. What were doing over there? She said unaware of the danger that lurked.
Cleopatra stood firmly and protectively in front of her puzzled master and bared her fangs silently.
