It was one of those times. Those times when Meadow's curiosity led her to nose open the fence of her Twolegs' garden and go for a stroll in the night. The light of the moon bathed everything in its milky-white luminescence, making everything seem surreal. Padding down Hawthorne Road, the Saluki looked back over her shoulder, at her house. It seemed smaller in the moonlight, though Meadow knew how truly large it was.
She stared at it for what seemed like moons, and then pressed on down the street, her delicate paws thumping inaudibly against the hard concrete. Her large chocolate-brown eyes seemed to dance over each aspect of the finely landscaped street, each perfectly molded bush, each expertly pruned tree. It all seemed so frivolous. At the corner of Hawthorne Road, she sat back on her haunches and lifted her front right paw. She began to lick it tenderly. Surveying her surroundings, she realized with a start that she was alone, all was silent. Too silent.

King sighed, bored. His humans had decided to put him outside. That was fine except for their back yard was rather small. He finally decided to escape. He slid through the fence and walked across the street, spotting a rather pretty Fae. "Good Evening" he said, nodding his head respectfully.

The pretty Saluki eyed the newcomer wearily, her chocolate-colored eyes full of curiosity and slight contempt. His blue eyes shone brightly under the moon's pearly glow, and Meadow watched them with vague interest. As he spoke, she tilted her head, watching his mouth move, forming the words.
"I suppose it is. I'm Meadow," she introduced herself, dipping her finely tapered snout in a polite gesture.

"King. And how are you fairing." he asked, his blue eyes surveying the pretty fae. He was very noticable, his white pelt standing out like ....er.....something. He sat down, unsure of what to do. She seemed one of the harder ones to charm.
{Occ. This post is totally horrid}

She raised her brow, watching the moon's luminescent light dance in his charming gaze.
"Well, King, I am fine, thank you." She breathed, wondering what he could be doing outside. Her eyes suddenly widened as she realized that he could be a stray. Sure, he was well groomed and handsome, but that could be easily overlooked. With an air of disdain, she took a step back. Filth, she thought. But then she opened her mouth, breathing in his scent. She didn't want to be unfairly rude. If he really was a stray, she'd go home, but if he wasn't, there was no reason to not have a chat. As she inhaled his scent, she grinned.
Twolegs. Shampoo. Purina dog treats, beef flavor.
She sighed deeply, thankful not to be in the presence of street scum. She licked her chest gently, hoping to hide any trace of rudeness that had shown on her pretty features.
"For a moment there I thought you were a..." She inclined her head, making it so that the gap between the two dogs was about the length of a rat's tail. "A stray..." she whispered this last bit, and looked around them to make sure no one was listening. She would not be caught speaking loudly of such filth.
