C I T I Z E N O F T H E C U R B ;; Dragon
Daunting shadows lay across the cold, hard concrete, obscured by a thin veil of mist that clung to the ground. A massive white canine strode along the pavement, passing numerous shop windows and parked cars. The only sounds the beast could hear was the gentle rhythm of his paws against the unnaturally solid ground and the nearly inaudible pitter patter of rain as it hit the floor. Everything seemed deserted.
All around him, it seemed, life had ceased to exist. He couldn't possibly be the only creature left on Earth, could he? No, that was silly. There had to be others. Baffled, he plodded along, thinking of his old master. The farmer wasn't the only one that had gone missing, Dragon observed, stopping for a moment to observe a car that was parked in the middle of the road. Why would anyone park there? thought the incredibly large canine, tilting his head to one side in thought. Or perhaps they didn't park there at all...
Shrugging off the strange choice of parking spots, Dragon padded along, realizing for the first time all day that his stomach was empty and begging for food. It growled at him fiercely, making him recoil in shock. I didn't know it could make that big a growl, he thought to himself, struggling to bring a faint smile to his robustly handsome features. Everything has become so strange, he thought, ignoring the loud rumbling protests coming from his gut. What will it be next, flying green sheep?

Xavier heaved a sigh, his great head upon his paws. The area had now become his home, seeing as unless he wanted to become a house pet, this was the best spot available. He starred at the water, his icy blue eyes looking sorrowful. He had, for some reason, gotten a bit depressed.
He had no mate, no family, nothing. What was he here for. He shook his head, as if to shake those thought right out of him. What was he, a sniveling fool? No! He was a Great Dane!
Sitting up, he looked around. He though he saw a dog in the distance, but couldn't be sure. He gave his paw, which he had injured on a sharp rock, a lick. His nose crinkled at the taste of blood.
Bending over to take a few laps of water, he saw the white figure again, this time more see able. Perhaps there was another dog here. Not that he wanted to find out. If the dog, or whatever it was, wanted to converse, it could come over here itself.

As Dragon continued walking, the fresh scent of a dog wafted into his nostrils. Egad! After scenting the air some more, jaws parted to let the smells drift over his tongue, the large white Pyrenees realized that he also scented blood. He cringed at the pungent, metallic stench, but nevertheless followed it.
Laying on the floor was an injured dog, licking his paw rather feebly. So he wasn't the only one left in the world. "I was beginning to think I was the last creature left." He spoke softly, not wanting to frighten the ailing beast. "But I'm glad to see I was wrong. The name's Dragon, nice to meet you." He announced genially, watching the male through amber optics as large as marbles.

x. Rex. x A dark sillhouette moved about along the streets, his pelt shimmering and slick with moisture as he made his way through the paved streets. Everything seemed to wierd.. He hadn't seen a human in what felt like days. Last night when he'd gone to his favorite snack shop and scratched on the door, nobody had answered.
This was all starting to look quite suspicious to the large titan as he made his way down the streets only to spot a car that had stopped in the middle of the road. "Its like they all just vanished at once..." he said aloud, not thinking anyone would hear him. And why would they? He was alone, right?
Correction. He was not. This he soon found as he came about to the other side of the car only to see a rather large and white brute along with another brute who seemed to be talking. He let out a soft sigh of relief. At least the dogs hadn't all dissapeared, too. " It's strange isn't it.. " he said as he slowly strode forward and closed the distance between them all. " Its like they vanished like the morning fog..." spoke the dark beast as his soft chocolate hues focused upon the other two.
He then seated himself upon the ground as he sat a few feet from the two brutes, his gaze looking distant as it traced about their surroundings. A paper flitted past him as it danced across the ground before being whipped off the ground and carried off by a wind that caused the ebon chocolate tendrils of his mane to sway.

Xavier's head turned to Rex, tilting slightly. "Your humans vanished as well? Seems to be happening to a lot of house pets." he said, giving his great silver paw a lick. The bleeding had stopped, but it still throbbed. "I'm Xavier." he introduced himself. Sitting up, his icy blue eyes scanned the area, wondering if any others would come. The last thing he wanted was to be in a crowd.

Domestically..
It was a deep sigh that pulsed his lungs as he slept, the spell drolling and toiling around him. He could hear the soft murmuring of the creek in his ears, lopped over and fading into the dreams that swiveled in his mind. His flaxen fur sparkled deep premium gold in the shadowing sun, a sighing breeze teasing the silken pelt of the collie mix. His gold and white markings were of Border Collie trait, but his lumbering size was all Lab. He was pretty lithe, since deprived of a few meals since the vanishing day his humans slipped from their house, never to be seen again. His eyelids were single lines as the held close, the deep confines of his mind bubbling softly. He dreamed of the day the humans came back.. His young family cuddling him with caressing warmth....
Master will be home, and the female and pups will be there too. Master will throw a ball and the pups will brush my silken fur to a golden sheen, and Missus would feed me in my ceramic dish, and we would all lie in the rumpus room and hug....
Artex blinked, his sepian tones dazzling in the sun. He looked around him and felt the cold pang of loneliness sting him. Nava and the Domestics were trying to solve the great Master-Mystery, and were trying to keep the stray dogs at bay. Their leader Darthyn was trying to control them, trying to rule the city undefied. But Nava would foil and make him fall. Artex believed in it strongly. His spirited and arrogant natures entwined. He was one of the original followers of Nava and the Domestics. Nava was the one who recruited him those many leaf-changes ago. Now, he was building a pack. And he was a recruiter. Artex shrugged the foliage leaves off his glossy pelt, the old brown collar with the silver tags jangled noisily as he tossed his body to and fro.
The young male suddenly heard voices; clear and nervous tinged they were. He felt the vibrations from their paws beneath his own, they were not far. Artex perked up his ears and swished his tail on the ground. Maybe he could recruit some of these dogs if they were not already allied with Darthyn. If they were, Artex would kill or be killed. He padded forward cautiously, his pawsteps muffled against the leafmold that he trampled beneath his mass. His muscles churned fluidly under his glossy pelt, the ivorn and gold clashing to create a damn beautiful portrait. He was a true housepet. He stalked forward and suddenly saw a ring of dogs. He dropped ears on their conversation. His ears perked. He stepped confidently from the shadows, his almond gaze buzzing about.
"I'd hate to be a party crasher, but I couldn't help overhearing that you've had Masters who have disappeared?"His voice was concerned and thoughtful, his gaze sparking around the circle.
