Could this day be anymore perfect? thought Hana. It was a cool day and the wind was gently blowing through her thick fur. Her owners were out with some friends for the night and Hana was free to do as she pleased. Her mother was in the house sleeping and Hana was sitting under the weeping willow by the white picket fence and just watching the sunset. Hana, who was starting to feel lonely, wished that someone would come by for her to visit with. Whether it be a stray or a domestic taking a walk.
Hana had sometimes dreamed of being free. She wanted to be able to wander and make friends whenever she wanted. Hana knew she could never even talk of such things to her mother and was afraid to tell any of the others because of what they would think. Hana knew she would never make it on her own anyway, she had been pampered her entire life and wouldn't be able to take care of herself.
So Hana just sat there, wishing she could have someone to talk to on this beautiful evening and dreamed of what life would be like as a stray. Though while thinking of being a stray she also remembered how lucky she is to have a family that really loves her.

Neveah smiled softly as she trotted along the sidewalk, her plume being held high as its tip graced the skies. It was, indeed, a lovely day for a walk and she was thinking upon how glad and lucky she was to have an owner like Orion that let her do as she pleased and didn't expect to hide her behind a fence.
Yes, Orion, the man who had found her as a pup and took care of her was very kind indeed. Though he lived in a house with four of his friends, she didn't mind. He let her come and go from teh house as she pleased but was always happy when she came home. If she ever got hurt she knew she could come home to him and he and the others would be right at her side to help her. Yes, she lived in a full house, but more people meant more lovin' for her when she came home and she liked that.
For the most part, though, Neveah was a very independant and aloof canine. She liked to do as she wished when she wished and so having an owner that respected that made her adore him all the more. Though, she could stand not having to take a bath anytime she came home from swimming in the pond.
The young wolf mix was just turning the block corner and passing a white fence when she noticed that there was a female behind her and stopped. "Why do you look so glum? asked the vixen as she watched her with her silver and blue optics.
Normally Neveah didn't really care about what was going on with dogs that were behind fences, but this one looked slightly down and Neveah was bored as well as in a good mood. Stopping to talk to another dog certainly wouldn't hurt her any. So, peering in at the femme behind the fence, Neveah seated herself upon the warm cement and tilted her head as she awaited the female's response.

Hana who was still dreaming was quickly snapped back to reality when she noticed a dog sitting on the other side of the fence. Hana was fast to jump up and come close to the fence to talk to the dog that now had her head tilted in interest at Hana. As soon as she got close to the fence she answered. "I'm not sad,I was just watching the sunss.. " Hana stopped mid-word when she realized that the sun had already set and she had just been staring off into the night sky. "Just looking at the stars and thinking about how I wanted to have someone to share this beautiful night with." Hana said with much excitement hoping that the other dog would stay and talk with her for a while.
Hana was bubbling with excitement inside. I hope she won't lose interest and just leave.. Hana thought. This was the first time any dog had ever stopped to talk to Hana other then at the dog park.

Neveah smiled towards the femme as she came to the fence, a soft swish within her thick plume being seen as it graced the evening with its chocolate, vanilla, and white coloration. "Mm.' Understandable that you wouldn't want to be alone. Why don't you come out from behind that fence and stroll about with me?" asked the femme with perked harks as she looked towards the Austrailian shepherd female. " Then both of us wouldn't be alone and we might have some fun running about tonight, too."
Neveah's gaze then lightly rose to the heavens as she listened to the nighttime noises, crickets, birds going nestling down to sleep, a distant swish of cars passing upon another road a few blocks down. It was a lovely night. Why shouldn't she spend it with another dog.
Neveah's gaze then fell back upon the other female who peeked out at her from behind the fence as she realized something. She didn't know her name. "How rude of me. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Neveah. May I ask what your name is?" she asked with a soft swish of her banner.

Hana pondered the thought of leaving her home for the night, she always wanted to go out without her owners leading her and she would love to make a nice friend as well. "I'd love to come! I've never left my house without the young couple who owns me and especially not at night." Hana looked around trying to figure her way out of the fence. "Um,I mentioned I've never left by myself before right? Well, how do I get out?" Hana began slowly walking back and forth across the fence trying to figure her way out. "Oh,and my name is Hana by the way! It's very nice to meet you Neveah!" Hana said as she continued to investigate around the fence.
I hope Neveah knows how to get me out of here. I would hate to be stuck here knowing I had the chance to explore and get to know Neveah. I mean, what if I never get this chance again,I just hope my owners don't find out thought Hana in what was now a nervous panic. Hana stopped, relaxing as she realized that Neveah could obviously help her get out because she's either a stray who knows how to get around fences or a domestic who can get out of their own home. Hana then sat in front of Neveah hoping that she could give her an answer.

Neveah gave a soft laugh and nodded towards the blue, black, and grey painted femme that she now knew as Hana. "Nice to meet you, Hana. Now, hold on a moment and I'll see if I can find the gate." she spoke as her dual colored optics now searched the white fence for a hinge.
When she finally found it, she then looked it over a moment and found that it was one that could be nudged with the tip of her nose to lift because it had a bar resting across it. "We'll have you out of there in no time, Hana. Then we can explore. No worries, either, because I'll be with ya." spoke the seraph as she then lightly lifted her maw after having slid it beneath the wooden bar, causing it to then rise up off of the slender bar of which it had hooked onto.
Using her paw then, she let it slide past the small enterance as she gave it a gentle push and allowed it to swing open a small ways. Smiling towards Hana she gave a swish of her tail and a brief whine of excitement. "Alright, I've got it." she said as she then stood there holding the gate open for Hana.

Hana quickly darted out of the gate ready to explore with Neveah. She felt safe with her, having a feeling that she knew how to protect herself and Hana. She gave an overly excited grin at Neveah and wagged her tail uncontrollably ready to wander off into the night. "Thanks! I would have never been able to get out if it wasn't for you!" Hana said.
Hana and Neveah started to walk down the sidewalk. At first Hana was distracted by how the town looked, how the shadows of the night seemed to engulf everything she knew. Then she began to grow curious of life Neveah ran. Was she a stray or did she have a loving family? Did she want the other life style or did she love things the way they were? "So what's your life like? " asked Hana curiously. She hoped that Neveah wouldn't take her question the wrong way and decide that she didn't like Hana and leave her on her own, lost on the night streets that have changed so much since sun stopped pounding on the sidewalks.

“Anytime” spoke the chocolate pelted wolf dog as she then walked alongside of Hana with a swish of her plume. Neveah’s paws hit the sidewalk with a soft clicking noise that sounded from her talons, her dial and plume being held high with confidence and happiness as she traveled alongside Hana.
She lightly turned her head to face the femme as she heard a question asked. Her gaze then lightly rose to the night skies before she looked back to her. ”Well, I unno’ I get to do as I please. My master lets me out in the morning, but I get to wander about for as long as I want and then I can either stay out at night or come home to his comfy bed. And there’s usually a few guys at home, too, because he’s not the only human in the house. But yeah.. He takes care of me when I want or need it, but other than that he lets me do as I please. I like it a lot.”
Neveah smiled at the thought of her owner, thinking of how lucky she was to be so fortunate to have him for a moment before she looked to Hana and asked "What about you? What's your life like" with her ears perked with interest. [/color]

Hana suddenly wished that she was like Neveah, she wanted to be able to stay with her family but roam freely as well. She looked at Neveah in complete envy, the way the darkness of the night lightly settled on her chocolate coat making her seem like just another shadow on the street, the way her eyes glistened in the dim light of the night. Hana wanted to do this every night, she wanted to be able to feel the cool sidewalk on her feet and see the town in beauty of the moon light.
Hana was so busy thinking about everything else that she forgot that Neveah asked what her life was like. "My life's pretty average I guess. My mother and I live with a young couple named Matt and Emily. My mother is very old so she mostly sleeps, and Emily and Matt don't let me run free like you but they do take me to the river or the dog park practically everyday to play." Hana smiled at Neveah, and slowly began bending her knees. She giggled playfully and then darted down the dark sidewalk. "Come on!" She shouted back at Neveah who was already quite far behind. Hana was fast and loved to just run,she could feel the cool breeze streaming through her fur as she ran full speed into the night.

Neveah was saddened at the life that Hana lived. How could she live like that? To be cooped up inside a house or fence and only being let out when you got to go to the dog park. Neveah couldn’t imagine how horrible that must be, other than to think of how her master, Orion, kept her inside when there was a thunderstorm. Even during thoseshort hours that the storm rolled through, it was torture for Neveah. She hated being cooped up. She loved the outdoors, to be free to do and be what she wanted. But tonight she felt lucky. Yes, she felt lucky because she’d made a new friend and she’d be able to share with her what it was like to run free and wild through the night.
Neveah’s harks perked as she saw Hana run on ahead of her and gave a brief bark and whine, her plume dancing behind her as she then briefly bucked before she, too, took off into the night behind Hana. ”Right behind ya, Hana!” she called to the beautiful dapple painted female as she came running up from behind her. Neveah loved running in the night, there was nothing like it and she loved to be able to hear the soft thrum of her paws upon the ground as she galloped over it.
”So, do you know any parks that might be nearby? I’ve yet to find one in this area.” said Neveah as she ran alongside Hana, the wind ruffling and combing through her canvas of caramel and mocha. ”Maybe we’ll run into some good company if we go to a park together. I mean, some of the dogs stay up all night just to play. You never know what we might find if we go to a park. “ said Neveah as she looked over to Hana with a smile upon her maw.”You up for meeting some new dogs? she spoke with a swish of her banner.
