The sky was clear as ever, a dramatic change from a few days ago when the storm had hit. A few scattered puddles remained in the streets, and the earth still remained slightly damp with occasional mud puddles. Human gossip had caught the attention of the red Doberman, and now she was on a mission. The humans at the office had been talking about one of the fellow dogs on the team. The black shepherd, Kovu, Kavvie..Kayak? Kavok! That was the dogs name, the one that came in completely shredded to bits. The humans were all traumatized by it, horrified that the dog was in such a ruined state. Kavok obviously, wouldn’t be working for a while until his wounds were healed.
Which put Junia even higher up in the ranks of the police dogs, which of course, made her extremely happy. Did Junia care about Kavok and how horribly wounded the other dog was? No, and she didn’t even put any interest into it until she heard a human mention that the attacker had been a Doberman. The humans continued on, talking about how the attack had been completely unprovoked, and the Doberman barely had any injuries, and wouldn’t lay off Kavok and another dog no matter what. Junia slinked around the office, listening in and placing pieces together bit by bit. All the while, getting pats on the head and told what a good dog she was. Her police partner spoke to her, saying how lucky she was that she hadn’t been with Kavok when he was attacked. Maybe it was good luck for the human, but bad luck for her. Could this dog be her brother? The level of insanity definitely made him a good candidate.
Junia quickly decided that she had to put her good detective skills to the test. Finding this Doberman became her top priority in life. Any free moment she had would be put to listening to rumors about the dog, where it could be found, and what it looked like. From all the tales, it definitely seemed like the dog could very well be her brother. Now all she had to do was local the insane beast. She knew that as soon as her eyes fell upon the dog, she’d know if it was him or not, even though it had been nearly three years since she last laid eyes upon the vicious male.
The little stub of tail wiggled slightly, long pink flesh of tongue straying across her humans hand as he petted her. The police officers were all going out for dinner together, which meant they would drink the foul drink that made them tipsy and hysterical to watch. Their breath would smell horrible, but the amount of attention and affection she got was increased by ten fold when the humans were in this state. Well, until they fell asleep and wouldn’t wake up for shit till the next day. Silly humans and their silly drinks that made them sleep a lot.
Junia’s light brown eyes watched as the humans climbed into their shiny cars, waving to Junia. The silly human thought that his fence around his yard was enough to keep the energetic dog in, but oh how wrong he was. As soon as the car disappeared down the street, she took off to the back of the yard. In a corner of the chain link fence, she had begun to dig a hole days before. Forepaws flew foreword, claws scratching at the soft earth that she had unveiled. Black claws tore at the earth, tearing it up even more as she dragged her paws backward, dragging the cold earth back and out of the ditch. Taking turns, her claws tore at the earth, dragging the dirt back and creating a larger ditch under the fence by the moment. It didn’t take very long before the ditch was wide enough, and then down she dug, tossing up dirt in all directions as she destroyed the grass in the back yard. Within about ten minutes, the hole seemed large enough and the female dog jumped back to inspect the mess. A snort of air blew out her nostrils as she inspected it, deeming it worthy of being her way out to find her long lost brother. Lowering her belly to the ground, she crawled, pulling herself with her forepaws into the hole and right under the fence. Down her head went, ears scratching against the sharp ends of the fence that had been unearthed by her hole.
Her head got through fine, but her broad back proved to be an issue. The hole was barely deep enough, and the sharp edges of the fence scraped against her back, pulling at the hairs and layers of delicate skin. A small quiet whine escaped the female, tempted to go backwards and make the hole bigger, then try again. Instead though, she pulled her body foreword and scrambled out from under the fence. The edges successfully tore at her skin, yanking at a few layers, just enough to cause blood to creep out. The black leather harness she always wore snagged for a moment, but Lucia managed to pull herself free.
Now she was free, finally! The female shook her body, and picked up her pace, racing towards the street. Now, to find her brother!

It was odd, Junius decided, for that gate to be open like that. He'd come back here for some reason, he wasn't even sure of the reasoning himself. He just... had... Maybe he suffered a variety of Stockholm syndrome, or maybe he was just curious; who could tell. For whatever reason that brought him here, here he was. The large black and tan beast was sitting out on the curb staring up at the massive manor house from which he'd escaped not so long ago. He was dirty; streaked in flaking mud, and other detritus gathered from living on the streets; though not in the condition of a rough and tumble stray at the moment. The front gate of the manor's drive was open; half way, and he could see the front door was open a crack as well. The scene was wrong, and distinctly odd.
Standing, Junius slowly made his way toward the gate, lips curling in feral disgust as he carefully navigated his way around it; keeping as much space between him and the fence as possible as he passed into the cage he'd escaped. Head lifted, leathery black nose quivering he paced slowly up the drive, and passed the decorative fountain at the cul de sac. His claws clicked quietly as he ascended the front stairs and pushed his sharp head around the door; peering inside. Absolute silence reached his ears. The only sound was the distant echo of a leaking tap somewhere in the massive home. The scents were old, and stale.
No one was there.
An entire household, just gone.
Turning the doberman paced back down the steps and wandered toward the garage, poking his head through the semi open door there as well; all the large cars were there; One even had the hood open and tools scattered around it. Tilting his head to the side Junius backed up slowly until he reached the middle of the drive, and then dropped his rump to the ground; tilting his head back he stared up at the manor house; eyes blinking in confusion.
Well...
He might have been out on his own, and he may very well have stayed that way for the rest of his days, but at the same time Junius had still considered himself the Master's dog, after all, that's what he was. He'd wanted to kill his Master, yes.... THis... This was just unnatural.
Whatever it was, it wasn't death.
The fur all along he doberman's spine stood on end, and he stood again, backing up; snarling and slathering at some invisible unknown until his rump clanged against the partially open gate, snapping his head from side to side Junius did one thing he'd never done in his life: he fled, running back out onto the streets. Standing there in the middle of the road, his sides heaving as he panted; eyes rolling like a startled horse.
Unnatural..
Whatever it was, it told him that there were monsters greater than he in the world; and it terrified him on a primal level. Jerking himself out of his partially stupefied mindset, he set off down the road again: He'd seek out Dahlia and see what the sharp-pei thought of the matter; she seemed a sharp minded individual; and it wasn't like Junius had anyone else to turn to anyway...
He was well on his way when something caught the corner of his eye, and the doberman paused head jerking up to point his sharp muzzle toward the sight: Another doberman wandering along the road in the opposite direction. Nostrils quivering he took in the faint scent that floated to him on the air, head tilting. Something as familiar here... He couldn't quite pinpoint it, but... It was that sense of deja vu.
Junius dropped his rump to the ground, and waited. He was hard to miss, sitting beside a green plastic garbage can; a sulking black and tan figure like congealed shadow.

Her pace slowed to a mere walk as soon as she reached the sidewalk. The sidewalk was hot though, and it burned the tender pads of her paws. She ignored the small pain, along with the burning pain on her back from the fence scratching it. Tolerance for pain was something that was bred into her, running in the genetics passed on from her mother and father. Her light brown eyes peered down the street, looking for something of interest.
Her mission was simple. She had to find a dog that knew of the Doberman she seeked. Whether they only knew of the dog by name, or where he lived. Anything would be of help to her at this point. As of right now, she deemed her mission would be a failure if she didn’t talk to a dog and ask around. There was no way she could find one dog in a whole town just by walking up every street. She didn’t know if her brother was a pet, or one of the strays that were slowly taking over the town. Nor did she know, if he was a pet, what part of town he lived in. With a family? Oh no, a dog like him wouldn’t be a pet with young children around. Too violent, or at least, that’s what she could assume based on the rumors. At least she wouldn’t have to search the part of town with all the families, making her search slightly less impossible.
The little stub of tail wiggled behind the female slightly as she spied a little poof ball of a dog. What were those things, a ball of lint that humans pulled out from under their beds and named it? There was a name for the dog breed..what was it..oh. Pomeranian. Junia quickly made her way to the dog as it sat on the lawn outside of its house. The dog quickly stood up as it saw her and wiggled its tail as a greeting. The fuzz ball was way too happy for Junia’s liking. Little fuzz balls were always happy and jumping around like some yo-yo toy, licking humans disgusting faces like it was a lollipop.
Junia made her way over to the dog, standing before it and quickly making her point. ”Okay, fuzzy. Heres the deal. I’m looking for a dog.” The fuzz ball quickly piped up, ”Don’t talk to me like that. If you want information, you’ll have to talk to me nicely and say please!” She let out a small snarl, showing her itty bitty pearly whites. Junia’s temper flashed, and the female jumped foreword, knocking the Pomeranian down onto her back in a split second, pressing her claws into the dog. The Pomeranian, of course, started yelping loudly, crying out. ”HELP! ITS GOING TO KILL ME! HELP! MASTER! LITTLE JOE! HELP!”
Junia snarled, lowering her head into the dogs face, baring her fangs at the dog. ”Shut up, before I chew you to pieces and use a lint roller to pick up your remains, fuzzy.” The little dog automatically ceased its yelping, staring up at the larger dog that hovered over it in fear. ”Now. A Doberman, male, have you seen him?” The Doberman snarled out, keeping her paw pinning the dog down. ”The crazy one, you mean? He lives just down the street. The big manor.” The dog rushed out, panting due to the air being pushed out of her lungs slowly by the police dog. Automatically, Junia lifted up her paw and took a few steps back. ”See? That wasn’t so hard, now was it?” She stated, turning to go walk down the street.
The Pomeranian had to say just one last thing, though. ”You two should get along fine. Crazy Dobermans, Crazy! Actually. I hope he tears you apart, you freak! Crazy!” Instantly, the red dobie turned on the fluff ball and sent it flying across the yard with a flick of a forepaw. ”Crazy? Why..thank you. Now go back under a dresser, you waste of space dust bunny.” She hissed, lundging at the dog just as it got to its feet. The dog yelped, and rushed towards the front door, dashing through the doggie door without a single glance back.
Loud laughter flowed from the female as she trotted back to the sidewalk, and began walking down the street where the fuzz ball had director her. ”That was fun.” She spoke, talking to herself as she walked along. ”I should do that more often. Fuzzballs should be exterminated. Lucia, you’re public dust bunny exterminator..” She continued on, chuckling to herself as she made her way down the street towards the manor. Well, it seemed her brother was a pet after all. A very wealthy pet, that was.
Suddenly, movement caught her attention out of the corner of her eye. Her head jerked to the side so her eyes could get a better look. There, by a green garbage can, sat a large Doberman. Was it her brother? Well, the only way to figure it out would be to investigate. The red Doberman quickly made her way towards the male, black leather harness shifting as the female made her way towards the male. Her pace slowed as she reached him, cautiously getting closer. He looked as though he had been rolling around outside for a while, but he didn’t look as haggard as most of the strays that were running around. Could this be him?
Junia inhaled the males scent, her brain racking as she tried to remember her brothers scent. It was faint, but she was nearly 100% sure that it had to be him. Junia lowered her rump to the ground, sitting infront of the male Doberman. ”You’d think a dog with a wanted sign tagged on his head wouldn’t be so easily found..” She spoke, chuckling softly. Yes, quite a few of the officers wanted to find the Doberman and get him put down for the vicious attack on Kavok. ”I’ve been searching for you.” She added, light eyes peering at the Doberman. She still wasn’t completely sure if it was him or not, though.
”Brother..?”

Junius Devil Incarnate
[/center]
Et tu, Brute?
------
As he'd watched the doberman notice, and then drifted toward him he'd allowed his head to drift lower until it dangled before his hunched form, leathery black nose pointed toward the pavement. Her words echoed into his ears, and to him her voice sounded cloying; like rotting corpses. His tongue dangled toward the ground, saliva ran down it to form a ropey slick thread that broke off as his head whipped upward, tilting to the side and slightly back as he gave the other doberman a wild-eyed look. A slew of dark chuckles fell from the doberman's lips at her words: Warning, statement, clue; who knew? His tongue curled up over the sharp edge of his muzzle, leaving behind a damp patch of tan fur, "Let them come..." He retorted, his features rippling in that strange reflexive snarl of his. It was almost like a tick. "I do so love playmates." His jaw muscles tightened in a feral grin; all teeth before he set to laughing, jaws gaping wider with each resounding sound.
Standing up he curled around in that oddly flexible way of his, curling around the trash can he'd been crouched near like some strange gargoyle. His claws click-click-clicked as he wandered around to emerge the other side and drifted out into the open street, circling around her; eyes trailing over that red-brown and tan form idly. He'd heard her words, but still he wasn't sure; could he be related to this pretty little pet before him? From the times he had seen his own reflection here or there he could fathom there was a resemblance, but then he looked rather like most of his breed... Still, perhaps it was that look in the female's eyes more than anything physical.
------
A disgusting ooze coated him from snout-to newly cropped tail, they were all coated in the mess. It stank to high heaven, but he'd long ago gotten used to it: It was one of the few scents he could remember in his life. Mother was long gone by now, they'd been put here after the pain, and... He didn't know it was all to confusing: His mind felt muzzy still. A slightly more slender form shifted next to his thin, but stockier one.
Turning his head he pushed his nose against a bronze-like shoulder coated in grime. No words were spoken, there was no point. Over in the corner another similar to him was laying on it's side, eyes rolling and sides heaving: The damp nose was bone dry, cracked and even bleeding a bit. It smelled like something.. It was a smell that was always there, but never understood. Something inside him knew it though...
Death.
------
At some point during the time when the memory had swum up with sluggish strokes the doberman had drifted over toward the female, standing alongside her and letting the scents around him sink deeply into his nostrils and lungs. For several seconds the smell of urine, feces, muck, and death lived as though the memory was physically recurring. Turning his head to the side Junius pressed his muzzle into the female's shoulder, inhaling. Familiarity filled his head like a creeper; sinking in and giving him an oddly content feeling he'd never dealt with.
Like a bad taste the smell of the past never really left them, it was there in the undertone of her scent; a scent that had vague connectors to his own. Nudging slightly he pulled away; unable to keep himself still for long, apparently. "Coincidence, fate, blood will tell?" He mused, what were the chances, really? It didn't matter, his jaws parted in a terrifyingly feral look. He'd never had a partner in crime, aside from his Black Dahlia...

Junia slowly tilted her head, peering over at the male as she stood in front of him. As he spoke, chills ran through her spine. It wasn’t the eerie kind, though. Oh no, Junia loved the chills that usually were followed by an adrenaline rush. There was no rush of adrenaline this time, but the chills were none-the-less welcomed by the female Doberman. Her own laughter spilled from her jaws after hearing the males final comment. If this indeed was her brother, then she had the eerie feeling that they would get along more than well.
Slowly, her head leaned closer a fraction before she spoke. Her words slipped from her jaws with ease, an air of teasing laced into the words spoken. ”Oh, I have seen the way you play..” She spoke. ”I have to say, that I admire you’re work. That dog was shredded, like a piece of unwanted paper..” Of course, she was speaking of Kavok, there was no doubt that he’d know that. ”I only wish I could have been there to watch, or even help..” Junia hated almost every damn dog on the police force, especially the ones that got in her way, or threatened her crown. Kavok was one of those dogs whos existences just made Junia hate him.
As the dog went on the move, her light eyes followed his movements. She didn’t trust the male, and she wouldn’t until she felt that he wouldn’t attempt anything stupid. He seemed unstable, like a ticking bomb waiting to blow. The eerie feeling was somehow comforting though, as if being around an unstable creature made her feel at home. Maybe it was because she too, was unstable and had a few things wrong with her. She’d be in deep denial if she told herself she was perfectly normal. Normal things don’t plot against comrades to get them out of their glory. It seemed they had things in common already, that’s if they truly were related.
Junia tilted her head, watching and waiting for the Dobermans inspection to be finished. Would he accept her, or disown her and act like she didn’t exist? One could only wait, as the seconds ticked by and her scent was stolen from her shoulder. Now that he was closer, Junia inhaled, letting the scent of the male flood through her nostrils. It was definitely familiar, and the past that they were put through was still linked to it. Even after the years that had passed. The memories, the smells, they were all linked together. Junia had to push away the thought of their puppyhood, forcing herself to stay in the present and focus on her brother as he spoke.
The corners of her lips curled, into what would resemble what humans would call a smirk. A small laughter left her lips before she once more spoke to her brother. ”Perhaps, but the world shall regret it none-the-less.” Two psychotic Dobermans on the loose, and together. Who would ever want that? ”My name is Junia. What of yours, demon?”
