It's a Beautiful Day

Thunder Spark stepped out of the doggy door and looked around his fenced in territory. There was a loose board to the right of him that he used when wanting to go exploring the territory around his. After glancing around to make sure his humans weren't around he quickly walked to the loose plank and scratched at it with his paw until it swung open. he quickly disappeared behind it before it swung back into place. His blue eyes sparkled with excitement as he slowly padded down the side of the street. He knew if the dog pound caught him he would be fine. he had a color and id tag on him. As long as he had that he should be fine.

The lovely brown wolf mix and soon to be mother, was making her way on down the stree, her gaze resting upon the ground, her tail at a gentle sway. Soft yawn slipped past her lips as she rounded a corner, her form stopping in its tracks as she ran into another dog. She backed up then, her ears pushing forward slightly as a faint smile graced her maw. "I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going." she said as her head lowered, tail flowing softly in an apologetic manner.

Her head tipped off to one side, she wondered who this dog was. " I hope that I didn't hurt you... My name's Neveah." she said, introducing herself to the new dog. From the collar about his neck, he was a pet, but pets were still dogs and she held no grudge against them even though she was a stray now.

Spark was quickly walking down the street when he stumbled into something. He stood up straight and gave his head a vigorous shake. He looked up to see what had hit him. The smell of the dog hit him head on. He could also smell the scent of milk it was obvious this dog was pregnant. "Don't worry about it, it was just an accident and you didn't hurt me just surprised me! I'm Thunder Spark but you can call me Spark" he smiled and wagged his tail.

His gaze quickly traveled over the dog and noticed it had no collar. Spark gently tilted his head to the side curiously, "where is your collar or do you have a chip in your skin I have one of those to" he barked friendly!

Her dark harks perked, she smiled back towards the brute as he stated his name. " Thunder Spark, what an interesting name." she said with a swish of her tail, smiling back at him. She was tempted to sit, but decided against it when she felt the heat of the sidewalk upon the pads of her paws.

She watched his gaze as it danced across her, curious as to what he was looking for. She soon found out as he spoke of her not having a collar and something about a chip. She slowly shook her head. "No, I don't have a collar or a chip. I'm a stray." she said with a soft flick of her tail. "But I used to be a pet. But... my master moved away without me, so now its just me and my unborn children. But I'm still happy." she said with another swish of her tail.

Her ears then pushed forward into a perk. "So, are you new about here? I don't think I've seen you in the backyards about here before."

Spark tilted his head to the side and smiled. "yeah it is a bit odd that is why I prefer to be called Spark it sounds better" His tail gently waved from side to side as he listened to Neveah. "Your name is pretty though I've never herd the name before"

His ears pricked up when she began to speak agian, "Your a stray" he barked more harshyl than needed. He hated strays. His neck fur began to prick up but quickly went smooth as he listened. "Oh I'm sorry to hear that it must be pretty ruff" he said in a more gentle voice. If you want i'm sure my folks would take you in" he wagged his tail hopefully.

Spark took a step forward and sat down. "Yeah I'm new here my people just got me a couple weeks ago for there girls birthday."

Neveah nodded softly as she listened to what the brute had to say, her form remaining quite relaxed about him despite how his pelt had bristled. She sensed that he had a hatred for strays from how he barked out a reply, but she remained fearless as she sat before him. If he made a hostile move towards her she was prepared to defend herself, but until the time came that she needed to fight for herself and her young, she'd remain calm.

Circling about for a moment, she turned so that she was walking the same direction as he was headed in the first place. "So, how's that going with your new humans? And just where was it you were headed? Maybe I could accompany you. The city seems so empty nowadays." she said as her silver and blue eyes fixated upon his face.

Spark slowly started to pad on. The anger and hatred had totaly disapeared to be replaced by a calm demeaner. "It's going ok I love my girl me and her are inseperable." his tail began to wag agian as he thought of his girl. "Oh I was just heading out to explore my new suroundings. Sure a little company is always welcome" He looked over his shoulder and smiled gently at her. "So when are the pups do?"

Neveah smiled as she heard him speak of his girl and see how happy it made him to think of her. She remembered what it was like when she had an owner too, how much she loved him, and it made her tail flow a little bit behind her as she walked alongside him. "She must be very wonderful." she commented.

It would seem that he was headed out to check out his surroundings, a good idea for one that was new in the neighborhood. Neveah remembered having done it when she'd moved into the neighborhood with her master, but then her attention seemed to snap back to the present as she then glanced back on over to the dog beside her as he asked about her pups. "They should be due any day now. I think I'm in my last few weeks of having them." she said as she then looked up at the skies that glowed bright blue. It was so pretty out. She couldn't help but stare up at the heavens and the beauty about her.

Glancing back to the dog beside her she smiled. "So, what are some things you like to do with your freetime?" she asked as her chocolate colored harks perked forward with interest.

Spark smiled evan wider and his tail began to wag faster. "Yea Lisa is really great she is the best friend a dog can have" His thick black, brown and white pelt practically glowed in the sun. You could tell he was well taken care of. There wasn't a tangle in his pelt let alone a single flea. "So where were you heading when we ran into each other" he asked curiously as he padded down the street. Spark looked up at the sun and smiled he still had a few hours before he had to go meet Lisa at the school.

Spark looked at Neveah and frowned "Your pretty close you should have a clean and healthy place to have the pups are you sure you don't wish to come and live we me and my humans at least until the pups are old enough to leave. Lisa and her parents would take great care of them and you" he barked hopefully.

Neveah smiled as she saw how happy the dog seemed to feel when speaking of his owner, his happiness soon flowing into her till she found her tail moving behind her happily as well. "Well, I was just wandering about. I can't seem to find anything interesting as of late. Everything and everyone is gone. So, I guess it was just a random stroll." she said with a gentle smile.

Neveah soon noticed the frown teh brute's face contorted into as he spoke of her pups, but it made her smile softly to know that he was offering her a home for the safety of her pups. She wasn't sure how she felt about it, having always wanted to give birth to them in the crystal Gorge, but she'd think upon it. "I don't know.... she said hesitantly. Last human I was with hurt my heart.. And I wouldn't want to be separated from my pups when they got older... I know some humans give our pups away..." she replied.
