I'm a sophmore in vet school, and so I spend a lot of time with animals. =\ But on my time off I foster shelter animals at our local Humane Society. Some of them stay at my home and others I just visit in the shelter and take on exercise runs and such. Each of them have a very unique story (especially Dixie!!) So if you wanna hear their stories just ask and I'll post them here =D"Wolfie" is a german shepherd wolf hybrid. "Blue" is a bloodhound. "Barbra" is a corgi/dac. and "Joanne" is a dach/basset. "Dixie" is an aussie/husky/rottweiler. Roxxi is mine =] she is boxer/pit, 50/50. I also have and/or foster around 24 cats/kittens. If you REALLY want pics I can upload them O.o lol. I also OWN a dalmation/american bulldog and a dalmation/aussie, but I can't seem to find pictures of them on this computer but I will show them off soon too =]

You'd have to fight me for Wolfie though. Most beautiful dog aside from the Anubis dog I saw once in the shelter, but my dad wouldn't let me get it. I regret it to this day....P.S. The Anubis dog looked like my Formosa character.

Wolfie is a handful, so hard to get to sit still. Wolfie is a she, by the way. Her owner didn't know what they were getting into with a wolf-hybrid... They're more difficult to control and train than dogs, and apparently they were looking for something like a lab, but just to impress friends with the wolf bit. -_- Stupid people, and now she's homeless.
I would need to be really impressed to give up my pretty wolife girl =]

I love them, omg! You're such a good person for doing that. I have four of my own dogs, but I'd love to foster. Can't though. Plus I'd not be able to say good bye.

Thanks, Maybe =] I have Roxxi, Dude, and Batman haha as my own personal pets and still have plenty of room in my heart for my foster babies. My family farm consists of 300 acres, give or take, so there's plenty of room to run and interact with all sorts of animals.
Saying goodbye IS very difficult, but knowing they're going to amazing homes and getting individual attention that they deserve is wonderful.

Thanks, Twilight! I'm taking all of my pre-vet classes at Lincoln Memorial in the small town of Harrogate. Afterwards I'm transferring to University of Tennessee for my graduate work. I should be certified to take the board exam to become a veterinary technologist (4-year technician) in two more years... This is just in case I don't get into graduate school I can still work =]
I minor in ethology (animal behavior) and small business.

I wish someone would take little Dixie. She was thrown out of a car window on the four-lane in the city where our HS is. Right in broad daylight! People sicken me.
Kudos to you Koraun! =] We foster parents are da bomb.

-Le gasp- Oh my..Thats..horrible. One of the horses I have was shot right between his eyes, but he is alive and doing very well. That sort of thing makes me cry for like hours. I hate it. I've been fostering animals since I was seven. Dixie is soooo adorable. I want her. Does she do well with other puppies? I have a little chow puppy that needs a playmate. Haha. Stick her in a box and ship her over here! Jaykay.
Foster Parents are auhmazeing.

She's kinda shy, but very versitile. She's adjusted to being with all the other animals. I do wish someone would give her a good home, she deserves it! I'm sure she'd love your chow puppy =]
That's awful about your horsie =[ i don't understand people -sigh-

Haha =] I know. I want to stick a steel toe boot up their ass. =0 Dixie does deserve a good home. The chow pup is one that I've been fostering for...I'd say three months. We found him in a ditch starving to death. It was snowing and he would have died within the hour.
