She blinked, a little confused. "But…he doesn't have a family to protect…." She muttered, incredibly confounded. It was a little obvious that she didn't understand why this pup would assume he had a family, and then it hit her that he probably considered the Pack to be a family. No one was related at all, though, and she saw family as blood relations. "Oh, well, yeah, if you think about it like that then I guess he has one." She laughed and shook her head, looking at him. "That's cause I thought you were, cause you were acting boring! You didn't even answer me." She said, huffing and rolling her eyes.

She froze, looking at the ground for a few minutes and just breathing. Then she looked back up at him. Family? I have no family. She thought to herself, pursing her lips. "Umm. Yeah, sure, whatever." She said, not realizing her words were a little cutting.

Xavier sighed, padding through the junk yard. He was so bored it was making him tired. Suddenly, he lept back, looking down at the pup he had almost stepped on. :Oh..Sorry." He said, unsure of what to do. Even though he was, but, a pup, he didn't know how to deal with them. He towered over the 2 pups, and just looked down.

But…he doesn't have a family to protect….

Trouble's face mirrored Sivamet's. What did she mean? Were not packs a canine's family? He had always thought of it that way; it never occured to him that they could be something entirely different. His ears twitched at Sivamet's epiphany. Oh, well, yeah, if you think about it like that then I guess he has one. He snorted lightly, still confused. "Then how do you think of it? Is it wrong to think of a pack as family?"

"Only because you came out of nowhere and started babbling. You were yapping away so fast that I couldn't comprehend what you were saying at first!" He looked at her and stuck his pink tongue out, teasing her once more. She was a fun companion.

He jumped around in excitement when the collie pup agreed to take him to the pack. In his excitement, he didn't notice the offhanded 'whatever.' He hopped over to Sivamet and licked up face all over, barking his thanks. "THANKYOUTHANKYOUTAHKNYOUTAHKNOYUTAIOAJKFDAFDA" (lol)

But then out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a huge hulking figure. Shocked, he halted his assault and watched the monster lumber over to the two of them. He didn't even realize he was a fellow dog until he was closer. Trouble stared at his monstrous size. The gray newcomer's eyes were droopy as if he was sleepy, but that might have been the way they were normally. He wasn't too sure; he was too distracted at his size. He quickly step-sided before the giant's paw could reach him. He yipped sharply in surprise, watching the giant flinch back. Eyes wide, the white puppy approached him cautiously. He tested the air for his scent. "What in the world are you?"

"Xavier. And you?" Asked the silver great Dane. He supposed he should have been a bit more kinder, but he knew nothing about pups. He looked at the two, then back at the one who had spoken. Where these pack pups, or strays. He could tell they were certainly not house pet, or else they'd be far cleaner, and probably not speak to him , for he was considered filth.

Finally, he decided to address the whole 'nearly stepping on' issue. "I didn't hurt you, right?" He said quietly.
